The general theme of the book is to manifest Christ's power and glory. In these first verses of John, we are presented Christ's Power as The Word. Jesus did not merely deliver a message from God. He himself is the message He is the Word. Let us explore these beginning verses deeply and reflect on this wonderful mystery. I. II. III. IV. V. VI. Jesus - Word Eternal a. The Word in Glory (v14) Conclusion: Jesus, The Word, in all His power came to us. Jesus is the Word Incarnate who chose to identify with our humanity that we may understand the grace and truth of God and find redemption. His life is THE Word – THE Message of our salvation. One only needs to accept the Word in faith and believe in His name Jesus. Let the Living Word pour His truth in every heart that chooses to believe. So accept, believe, and be saved!
