1.0 General information
The silencer to be mounted on steam vent line is composed of Diffuser part,
expansion chamber and acoustic Modules.
The noise level is much influenced by the mixing zone between sonic speed
steam jet and surrounding atmosphere.
Low-Frequency sound produced in the valve will converted to high frequency
sound through diffuser's holes. It makes high acoustic absorption efficiencies at
the acoustic modules for high frequency sound.
2.0
Installation of steel structure for Steam vent silencer
2.1 Steel structure for steam vent silencer should be installed to be vertical and
horizontal for silencer.
2.2 Make sure the installed direction and dimension are correct and steel
structure should be fixed by setting bolts according to construction
drawing.
3.0
Installation of Steam vent silencer
3.1 Precaution of installation
a.) Make sure steel structure is correspond with construction drawing.
b.) Install steel structure and make sure the installed elevation level.
c.) Remove packing materials adhered on nozzles and/or manholes of
silencer before lifting.
3.2 Confirmation for installation
a.) Make sure heavy equipment for lifting is safe.
b.) Make sure hanging material, wire rope etc. for lifting is safe.
3.3 Installation of silencer
a.) Make sure the installation position of support lugs adhered on silencer is
correct.
b.) Make sure the orientation of nozzles and support lugs adhered on
silencer is correct.
c.) Install silencer on the steel structure and fix by setting bolts and nuts.
d.) Connect pipe lines to silencer nozzles and make sure connected lines
are correct.
