A SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN CSS
Grade 8-STVEP
CONTENT STANDARD:
The learners demonstrate an understanding of concepts and underlying principles in testing electronic
components.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners shall be able to test electronic components.
LEARNING COMPETENCY:
Test components (TLE_IACSS9 - 12TECO -IVf - h -26)
I. Objectives At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
1. identify the different basic electronics testing equipment;
2. describe the function of each testing equipment;
3. appreciate the importance of the electronics testing equipment.
II. Subject Matter
Content: The Basic Electronics Testing Equipment
Tools and Materials: PowerPoint, Pictures, Laptop

III. PROCEDURES
a. Preparation
1. Prayer
2. Checking of Attendance
3. Setting of Agreement
4. Review
b. ACTIVITY 1 (Measuring Objects!)

Show to the class a measuring instrument “Weighing Scale”

Let the students measure the mass of the given apple and oranges.
c. Analysis

What is the mass of the fruits?

What is the measuring instrument use in weighing the fruits?

Why did you use weighing scale in measuring the mass of the fruits?

Do you also know what are the measuring devices use in testing component?
d. Abstraction

Presentation of the lesson.
ACTIVITY 2 (Gallery Walk)

The teacher will divide the class into 4 groups.

Each group will start at a different station. The groups will explore images, read what is posted
and write their responses to the given questions.

After 2 minutes, the group will rotate to the next station.

Repeat until all groups have visited each station.
e. Application
Try it!
Same group. In 5 minutes, let them identify the pictures and resemble to its
function.
CRITERIA
Accuracy
Presentation
10
All pictures are identified
accurately.
The group demonstrate
a clear understanding on
the output presented.
8
Some of the pictures are
identified accurately.
The group demonstrates
some understanding on
the output presented.
5
Only one picture was identified
accurately.
The group does not
demonstrate a clear
understanding on the output
presented.
f. Generalization
Why is it important to know the basic electronics testing equipment?
