Grassulk
When a temple to an Elder Evil is built in a subterranean
landscape, its influence over the surrounding flora may
inadvertently create the huge creature known as the
Grassulk. The Grassulk’s sole purpose is to enact the
will of the Elder Evil throughout its domain.
Photolocation Senses. Being born underground, the
creature does not have eyes, but instead a glowing light
in the center of its forehead, used as a sensor to detect
other creatures in the area. Using pulses of light,
the creature can sense the return of the light
from any source it bounces off and can
determine the distance between itself and the
object.
Mothers of Evil. Witnesses that have seen the
Grassulk firsthand have given it the title,
“The Mother of Evil”, as those that have
survived the encounter have spoken of
mushroom like creatures that are birthed
from the bulbous sack that makes up the
Grassulk’s abdomen. Legend has it that the
Grassulk is the midwife of the Elder Evil, birthing
its children on to the material plane.
