Project Title: Examining the Impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence on Employee
Well-being and Work Dynamics – Total wright 25%

Instructions:
In this project, you will be exploring the impact of generative artificial intelligence, specifically
ChatGPT or similar technologies, on various aspects of employee well-being and work
outcomes. The objective is to gain insights into how the use of such AI tools affects employees
in terms of morale, engagement, productivity, efficiency, job satisfaction, job security, leisure,
work-life balance, and other employee outcomes. Your project will involve qualitative research
through conducting interviews with individuals who are employed and use generative AI in their
work, either with or without their supervisor's knowledge.
Project Phases:
Participant Selection:
o Identify potential participants who are currently employed and use generative AI
tools like ChatGPT in their work.
o Participants should include both those who use AI tools with their supervisor's
knowledge and those who use them without their supervisor's knowledge.
Literature Review:
o Do some research on what is available on the relationship between HRM, AI and
generative AI like Chat GPT. Use academic sources as well as non-academic
sources. Please cite appropriately using an APA referencing style. Please compile
your review (3-4 pages double spaced)
Interviews:
o Each group will conduct three interviews with the selected participants.
o Prior to conducting interviews, ensure that ethical considerations are addressed,
including informed consent and confidentiality. Please use the consent form
provided. Let the person know the information is for a class assignment and there
is no need to disclose organizational affiliations.
Data Collection:
o During interviews, use open-ended questions to encourage participants to share
their experiences openly. For your convenience, I have provided you with some
sample questions. You are free to use these questions. People by nature are
reluctant to share these feelings unless they are comfortable with the interviewer.
It is your role as an interviewer to create that level of comfort! Grades on this
assignment will depend on the depth and quality of the interviews conducted.

You are required to audio-record the interviews using your phone or an audio
recorder if you have one so it will be easier for you to transcribe it later as a word

document. The audio recording can be done with a voice recorder app (which is
free to download if you don't have it on your phone). Please get permission from
the person first before recording the conversation. There is free software available
to allow you up to 45 minutes of free audio-to-text transcription to make your job

suggest you go with this option, as it is much easier but the choice is yours.
Data Analysis:
o Thoroughly analyze the interview responses to identify common themes, patterns,
and insights related to the impact of AI tools on various aspects of employee wellbeing and work dynamics. Please derive themes based on the literature review
conducted. Cite accordingly
Report and Presentation:
o Compile your findings into a comprehensive report, including literature review,
highlighting key findings, themes, and illustrative quotes from participants.
o Prepare a group presentation summarizing your research process, key findings,
and implications.
o You are also required to submit the interview transcripts in a word file.
