Environmental Issues Air-related Environmental issues Water-related Environmental issues Land-related Environmental issues Environmental issues are harmful aspects of human activity on the environment. It can effect the environment in various ways . Environmental issues are mainly the following ; • Air- related Environmental issues • Water-related Environmental issues • Land -related Environmental issues Air Pollution Air pollution is the most dangerous form of pollution. Air pollution is the mixture of solid particles and gases in the air. Car emissions , chemical from factories , dust etc . are the main particles that are suspended in the air and cause pollution. These suspended particles are called pollutants. Even smoke from burning leaves and cigarettes are harmful to the environment. Global warming is the increase in earth’s average temperature due to increased trapping of infrared radiations by green house gases. It is a result of increased pollutions and other phenomenon that increases the amount of green house gases in the atmosphere. As a result the glaciers are melting and the sea level is accelerating , large wildfires are growing and severe droughts are occurring. Water Pollution Water pollution is caused due to industrial waste released into lakes , ponds and other water bodies. Humans pollute water with large scale disposal of garbage , flowers , ashes and other household waste. Acid rain further adds to the water pollution. Water pollution can result in depletion of dissolved oxygen in water bodies. Water pollution can also occur as a result of soil pollution. Interesting, right?
