Egypt Project – 2022 DIRECTIONS: Choose a project from the list below. This will be an IN-CLASS project. All necessary materials are due by Friday, October 21st. Students will be working on this project in class on Monday, October 24 to Wednesday, October 26th. You must have something to make use of the time given in class. The final project is due Thursday, October 27th. PROJECT CHOICES: 1. Make a travel brochure (trifold) for a trip back to Ancient Egypt. Each panel needs to include information describing different aspects of Ancient Egyptian life. Include a variety of colored graphics for each category. Research the geography (include three cities), food, clothing, activities/games, famous people, and landmarks to visit. All work must be typed. 2. In hieroglyphics, write a poem with four or more stanzas about Ancient Egyptian life. Include a key and English version. 3. Make an Ancient Egyptian picture book. This should include a minimum of ten pages, not including the cover. Be sure to use kid friendly appropriate words and sentences to go along with each picture. Every page needs a minimum of three quality sentences. All work must be typed. 4. Build a model/diorama of one aspect of daily Ancient Egyptian life- agriculture/farming or business/marketplace. This might be a farming scene, a marketplace, or a depiction of people (poor to wealthy) working; be creative! Make sure to include geographic elements so your audience KNOWS this is an Ancient Egyptian scene. Include a typed 3 paragraph explanation detailing your diorama. 5. Design an Ancient Egyptian themed game board that is educational and teaches others about this timeperiod; you will need a minimum of varied questions and answers-facts/information about Ancient Egypt. Make sure to include game pieces, rules, and instructions on how to play your game. Be prepared for others to play your game.
