This letter is issued to inform that Mr. Wickramasinghe Arachchige Don Dhananjaya Pulathis
Wickramasinghe is a proud member of the LGBT community of Sri Lanka. For a very long time
he has been in contact with us and has been subjected to various forms of violence and
oppression both physically and mentally within the cultural framework and legal system of Sri
Lanka. Among the LGBT Lankan community who are shouting for their freedom Mr. Pulathis
Wickramasingha is a person who has done a remarkable job for us.
In the Sri Lankan social system, our community is constantly belittled and neglected, and even
in such a background, it is highly appreciated that this gentleman is fearlessly fighting for his
rights by participating in our workshops, concerts and marches that we organize.
Our effort is to create an environment that respects the rights and feelings of the LGBT
community, who are oppressed in Sri Lanka's cultural framework. For that, the support
provided by Mr. Pulathis Wickramasingha so far is highly appreciated and I think you will
continue to be a source of strength for us. May all your future hopes come true.
