MEDICAL LEAVE

I Sofia Zamurd writing to request a medical leave of absence for a period of two days, from 24th –
25th august 2023, as I am pregnant, and the demands of my hectic school routine have been
taking a toll on my physical and emotional well-being. As a dedicated teacher at APSACS, I am
deeply committed to my students' education and well-being. However, the challenges and
responsibilities of my role have become increasingly difficult to manage in my current condition. I
believe that this medical leave is necessary to ensure the health and safety of both myself and
my unborn child.
My daily routine includes long hours of teaching, grading, and classroom management, which
often extend beyond the regular school hours. The stress and fatigue associated with my
responsibilities have been overwhelming, and I believe it is essential to take this brief medical
leave to rest, recuperate, and focus on my health. During my absence, I will make every effort to
ensure that my students' educational needs are met. I have communicated my situation to my
colleagues, and they have kindly offered to provide support in my absence.
I kindly request your understanding and approval of this medical leave application. Your support
in this matter is greatly appreciated, and it will contribute significantly to my overall well-being
during this crucial time.
