This is to inform you that the Y9 to AL Mock Examinations are scheduled to be conducted as
per the following dates:

No student will be allowed to take early leave during the review week, as regular academic
proceedings will be followed after the Practical Exams and attendance will be marked.
CAIE Students’ Portfolio of Evidence:
In line with the latest updates and guidance from Cambridge Assessment International
Education (CAIE), all schools are required to maintain a ‘Portfolio of Evidence’ for their
students before the exam period begins. This portfolio will be used by Cambridge International
to assess the students in case the May/June 2022 Examinations do not follow through due to
any local restrictions.
Pursuant to this requirement, please be reminded that all up-coming graded assessments,
including tests and exams, may be considered part of the students’ portfolios.
PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS
For Y9 (Humanities) – A2:
The Portfolio of evidence will be a collection of ‘three substantial pieces of evidences’, from
the work of every student from Year 9 to A2.
For AL Students:
For AL students, who are taking a linear route to an A Level grade, there will be two portfolios
of evidence – one for the AS part of the qualification and one for the A2 part of the
qualification. For these candidates, therefore, six substantial pieces of work will be required
in total: three for the AS part of the qualification, and three for the A2 part of the
qualification. Hence, it is mandatory for all AL students to appear in both AS & A2 Level
assessments.

Mock Examinations – Important Info:
1. Attendance: It is mandatory for all Y9-AL students to sit for Mock Exams of all subjects,
including all the Practical Components.
2. Leave Policy: Leave applications must be submitted on the Parent Portal, addressing to
“Student Affairs Department”. No leave will be approved, except under extreme
circumstances.
3. Emergency Contact Protocols: In case of emergency or unavoidable circumstances, such
as falling sick or being tested Covid-positive, a student must email the PCR Test result
immediately to ‘Student Affairs’. As per leave policy, he/she must also apply for leave on
Parent Portal by filling up the ‘Leave Application Form’.

Saudi Studies and all Practical Exams will be conducted in the Review Week on the
mentioned dates.
Each student should bring his/her own stationery supplies. Non-transparent pencil cases
are not allowed.
Cell Phones are strictly prohibited.
Any dishonesty or misconduct during exam will be dealt with strictly, and can result
in disciplinary action, including cancellation of the paper or withdrawal from school.
Students are not allowed to wear SMART WATCHES during examinations. Any such
violation will be considered as use of unfair means and will be dealt with accordingly.
Ensure timely commuting arrangements.
Students should be dressed in regular school uniform (No PE Uniform).
Buses will follow the above-mentioned timings. However, the bus students/parents are
kindly requested to inform the bus driver a day in hand, whether to avail the bus service
or not, for better coordination.
Mock Exam Result will be declared on Thursday, 14 April 2022.
