Design a suitable foundation system for a 10-storied residential building. Assume reasonable values
of any data, if not mentioned in the borehole log. The site location is Gulshan area of Dhaka city.

ASSIGNMENT 2: For the soil profile given below, determine the allowable bearing capacity of the
isolated footing (3.3 m x 3.3 m) that is subjected to a vertical load of 1000 kN and moment of 85 kN.m.
Use both Meyerhof and Terzaghi method to examine stability. Also, design a driven pile group 350
mm square section for the same loading system. Assume reasonable values of any parameters, if
required.
