It is currently manual. From what I hear, CadWorx is working on this. There's a fella in the
piping department for another company I worked at that used the skids or area sub model
(dwgs) extracted to an excel file (BOM extraction). I think he parsed the description for wall
thickness and material and; With formulas and using vlookup to another table of calculated
weights, he obtained the total weights of the areas he processed. He was also able to get
the volume of water for a pressure test using similar means. I don't believe he worked out
the CG, but even this process, which took time to create, saved many hours for the
engineer.
Does anyone know of another product from COADE that can take a model from CADWorx
and further process? Like CAESAR?
