THEMES OF HADITHS REGARDING MUSLIM INDIVIDUALS Sayings of the Holy Prophet are very much significant for all Muslims. “Verily in the messenger of Allah you have best model to follow” (Quran). Hadiths of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w) encompass all aspects of life including the individual lives. The purpose for teaching individuals is to train them regarding their personal character building. In one of his Hadith he taught that one should earn himself. He said: “No one eats better food than which he eats out of the work of his own hand”. This would make people independent in financial dealings and they would also develop their self-respect and dignity. On another occasion he said that the individuals should develop sincerity towards God, Messengers, Quran, leaders and towards public. This saying is meant to make people loyal to their religion. He also considered this world as a prison for a believer. “The world is the believer’s prison and the unbeliever’s Paradise”. This means that Muslim individuals should follow Islamic teachings which imposes certain restrictions on them. They in this way remain in limitation and do not break rules which further makes them responsible persons of society. In one of his sayings he highlighted that the believer lives for Allah and struggles in His path. when he was asked who is the best of persons? He replied: “the believer who strives hard in the way of Allah with his person and property”. Thus he wanted that a Muslim should prove his faith by practically doing something for God. One more Hadith highlights the teachings for individual Muslims is regarding the development of morals. He said: “Modesty produces nothing but good”. This means that Muslims should show gentleness in the way they behave, in the way they dress and the in the way they treat others as this would further bring positive outcome, including the respect which one gets from others. Thus the Hadiths for Muslim individuals contain the teachings which can help to make a person who is equipped with the best morals.
