Behavior is how an individual and organism act, react or behave in a particular situation or stimuli. It can
be classified as conscious- where one does it with intention or one puts mind into thinking, For example,
you remember have an assignment and you do now want to be late in submission, with that in mind,
you will do your assignment as soon as you can. Behavior can also be unconscious where in you are not
aware of your actions or it can be automatic responses. For example, blinking or closing your eyes when
there is a sunlight. Behavior can also be visibly seen by the eyes.
Organization includes a group of people or individuals who work together with the same goal and
objectives. It can be classified as formal- wherein it includes hierarchy and authority just like a business
company and they also have written policies that must be followed. It can be non-formal wherein it is
composed mostly of members or individuals who is equal just like volunteer groups and they focus more
on building social networks.
Organization behavior looks into understanding of how the group of people or individuals’ actions and
performance influences each other and the organization. It includes concepts such as motivation,
communication, group processes, conflicts, and culture that shapes an organization
Studying about Behavior, organization and behavior in the organization is important because concepts
such as interaction, group processes, conflicts, and culture plays an essential role in achieving the goals
and success of an organization. Mainly is that the individual interacts within a group and it influences it,
and individuals composes an organization. Understanding these concepts helps how an organization
could be managed to maintain a harmonious and productive environment.
I would say that organization needs people and organization is beneficial for an individual. First, there
will be no organization if there is no group of people or individuals. How can an organization achieve its
goals when no one operates it? It needs the skills and experties of an individual. Organization is not a
need of an individual but it may provide a sense of belongingness to them. They could have someone for
a support, collaborate with like-minded people, and at the same time, may also provide a person a skill
development.
