As a motivated investigator of social justice, the ad shared on social media caught my
immediate attention, more so because the profile you outlined befits me well.
I am currently working as the station manager at Bulala FM in Budalangi Sub-County,
Busia County. In this position I am responsible for mentorship programs, in-house
induction, editing and production of feature stories. Over the past nine years, I have
gained ample experience through voicing for the voiceless and promoting transparency.
I am passionate about promoting freedom of speech, human rights, and democratic
values.
I will to put these characteristics to continued use with acquisition of the training and
mentorship program in investigative journalism with the aim of uncovering hidden truths,
hold power to account, and make a lasting impact through my reporting.
Given my education and acquired attributes, I see myself suitable for the training. The
components that were discussed during my studies in varied fields closely match the
skills required for this position.
