Cover letter for FY23 Launch@Apple Mentorship and Externship POSITION: Mentee I am a first generation and first-year student at the University of Georgia majoring in Finance and Management Information Systems. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to apply for this mentorship program. I think that a mentorship is something that would be beneficial and would pay dividends in the future for me as a person and professional, and this program is perfect for me. Seeing Apple grow through the years, it is not short of being amazing to witness the growth that this company has exhibited. I think it’s also amazing to me how this opportunity might not have existed just a short 10 years ago. Not only this makes me excited for the future scholars in the US, but this demonstrates to me the steps that Apple as a company is taking to help tackle the knowledge gap for first generation students. Despite being a first-year whose parents did not go to college, I still have paved the way for generations to come regarding my experience in sustainability and finance. My perseverance to overcome personal and financial obstacles demonstrates my ability to dominate and create luck through in every opportunity given to me. I would love to share my story through an interview to display my fit for this program. I have attached my resume and LinkedIn profile below. Cordially, Daniel Zhao
