Abstract: This study aim is to speculate a wide range and significant ways to boost the confidence of
the students to speak in English as well as to enhance their vocabulary for better ways of
conversation with other people. To further discuss, this also assess to enhanced the understanding of
the students regarding different words and how they can use it in a sentence effectively. Specially to
develop an efficient way to teach the students the basics of daily conversation without having the
trouble to think of a word to use and not being afraid of using the language in speaking and be more
confident. This will motivate the students to achieve their future endeavours without being afraid of
being judge by people around them. The study of relationship between English Vocabulary and
Confidence in Speaking English reveals the result were highly positive correlation which mean there
are a relationship between the two variable. As what have presented in the table above the r value is
0.7082947728 or 0.7082 which interpret as High Positive Correlation. The research also shows that
the English Vocabulary affects the confidence in speaking English of Grade 12 HUMSS students which
leads to high positive correlation. The learners’ ability to communicate effectively depends on a good
knowledge of vocabulary, which they continue to expand throughout their life span. Proficiency in
English language depends on the knowledge of its vocabulary possessed. The research has p value of
0.21906 which is lower than the alpha which means that the researchers reject the null hypothesis of
