Lesson Outcomes:
Learners will be able to…
1. Define what expense and prepaid is.
2. Identify the expanses that have been prepaid.
3. Record the expenses that have been prepaid as per year ended.
Integration with other subjects:
English: The content is delivered in English, the terminology is in English so it is important to
know English terms relating to the topic.
Business studies: how does the stock of the business treated at the end of the year.
Prior Knowledge:
The meaning of prepaid and the meaning of an expense.
Extended Opportunities:
They further get an understanding and knowledge of what prepaid expesnse.
Context:
The school is situated in the Urban Area, with more than Six Hundred learners from grade R to
grade 12, with an average of plus minus 17 learners in a class. In grade 10 Accounting there
are 14 learners with no special needs
