GEN 4 CHARGES FOR AERODROMES/HELIPORTS
AND AIR NAVIGATION SERVICES
GEN 4.1 AERODROME/HELIPORT CHARGES
1.
General
NR
The charges set out hereunder are applied to all
aerodromes administered by CAO, Iran Airports & Air
Navigation Company (IAC) - NAFT, Military,
Agriculture, IPTAS, etc.
The Maximum take-off mass (MTOM) is specified
under the regulations of the State where the aircraft is
registered.

b) CAT 2: more than 2500 KG but less than or
equal to 5700 KG,
c) CAT 3: more than 5700 KG but less than or

3. Charges for Aircraft with MTOW more than
9000 KG:
3.1.
Landing of aircraft
3.1.1 Landing charge at international airports:
a) International flights:
Charge 6.00 U.S Dollars per 1000 KG,
The minimum charge is 100.00 U.S Dollars.
b) Domestic flights:
Charge per 1000 KG is 26 percent of
International flights charge in Iranian Rials,
The minimum charge is 50 percent of the
minimum charge in item 3.1.1 a), in Iranian
Rials.
3.1.2 Landing Charge at airports with Aerodrome and
Approach Control Services:
a) International flights:
Charge 5.00 U.S Dollars per 1000 KG,
The minimum charge is 100.00 U.S Dollars.
b) Domestic flights:
Charge per 1000 KG is 26 percent of
International flights charge in Iranian Rials,
The minimum Charge is 50 percent of the
minimum charge in item 3.1.2 a), in Iranian
Rials.
3.1.3 Landing charge at airports with aerodrome
control service:
a) International flights:
Charge 4.00 U.S Dollars per 1000 KG,
The minimum charge is 100.00 U.S Dollars.
b) Domestic flights:
Charge per 1000 KG is 26 percent of charge in
item 3.1.3 a), in Iranian Rials regarding the
announced exchange rate.
3.1.4. Surcharges:
a) An additional 25 percent of the abovementioned landing charge is applicable for nonschedule flights and flights operating out of AD
OPR hours,
b) At the airports where approach radar service is
provided, 1.00 U.S Dollar is added to approved
tariffs.
3. 2. Parking
3.2.1 Parking charge for International flights:
a) Between 0130 - 1730 UTC (0500 – 2100
local time) is 5 percent of the landing charge
per hour,

b) Between 1730 – 0130 UTC (2100 – 0500
local time) is 10 percent of the landing
charge per hour.
3.2.2 Parking charge for Domestic flights:
a)
Between 0130 - 1730 UTC (0500 – 2100 local
time) is 26 percent of the international parking
charge per hour, in Iranian Rials,
b) Between 1730 - 0130 UTC (2100 – 0500 local
time) is 26 percent of the international parking
charge per hour, in Iranian Rials.
Note 1 – Parking charge for aircraft parked less than
30 minutes is calculated as 30 minutes and between 30
to 60 minutes is taken as one hour.
Note 2 – The first two hours of parking charge at all
airports is free.
Note 3 – one percent will be added to the parking
charge for aircraft parked out of base contained in the
license of Iran CAO.
3.3. Lighting Charges
3.3.1 Lighting charge for International flights is:
a) 60.00 U.S Dollars for each operation at
international airports,
b) 50.00 U.S Dollars for each operation at other
airports.
3.3.2 Lighting charge for Domestic flights is:
a) 26 percent of charge in item 3.3.1 a), in
Iranian Rials regarding the announced
exchange rate for each operation at
international airports,
b) 26 percent of charge in item 3.3.2 b), in
Iranian Rials regarding the announced
exchange rate for each operation at other
airports.
3.4. Airport Service Charges
3.4.1 Airport Service charge for:
a) International flights are 100.00 U.S Dollars,
b) Domestic flights are 26 percent of the charge
in item (a), in Iranian Rials regarding the
announced exchange rate.

3.5. Security Charges
3.5.1
Aircraft protection is upon request.
a) Security charge for international airlines is
60.00 U.S Dollars per hour,
b) Security charge for domestic airlines is 26
percent of international flight charge per
hour.
4. Meteorological Service Charges
The meteorological Service charges basis is airport
classification:
a) The meteorological Service charge at
international airports Per Landing is 0.09 U.S
Dollars per 1000 KG,
b) The meteorological Service charge at
airports with Aerodrome and Approach
Control Services Per Landing is 0.075 U.S
Dollars per 1000 KG,
c) The meteorological Service charge at airports
with aerodrome control service Per Landing
is 0.06 U.S Dollars per 1000 KG.
5. Exemptions
The following categories of flights shall be exempted
from payment of charges:
a) Iran government and military flights not
engaged in commercial operations,
b) Diplomatic flights while invited by the Iran
government,
c) Flights to and/or from Iran airports,
recommended
by
a
governmental
organization, for the purposes of cooperation
in military, investigation, search & rescue
purposes, in unexpected cases such as floods
and earthquakes, operations which are on a
remuneration basis,
d) Flight test, authorized by the Iran CAO,
operated with the purpose of ensuring the
airworthiness of aircraft,
e) Flight Check that are performed in order to
calibrate ground navigation aids or validation
of flight and airport plans and instructions.

6. Methods of payment
a) Scheduled flights:
Charges should be paid by the end of each
calendar month. The invoice will be sent
monthly by Iran Civil Aviation Organization
(Iranian Airports & Air Navigation Company
(IAC)),
b) Non- Scheduled flights:
Charges shall be paid before take-off.
Note 1: All scheduled international and domestic flights
operating at the airspace and airports of the Islamic
Republic of Iran’s territory are required to pay the
aerodrome and air navigation services charges within
30 days after receiving the invoice, regardless of their
operational reasons. The payment should be made in
U.S Dollars or other major currencies to the account
numbers indicated at the bottom of the invoices.
Note 2: All non-scheduled international flights
operating at the airspace and airports of the Islamic
Republic of Iran’s territory are required to pay the
aerodrome and air navigation services charges in
cash, regardless of their operational reasons. The
payment should be made in U.S Dollars or other major
currencies to the account numbers indicated at the
bottom of the invoices.
Note 3: In case of non-payment within the abovementioned deadline, there will be a penalty for the late
payment in accordance with our government
regulations. The penalty is taken into the account
based on the monthly rate published on the official
website of the Central Bank of Iran and is updated on
a daily basis.
