Formalizing Your Goal: Write out 1-3 paragraphs that

Your goal should include a reasonable finish-date that you think is achievable.
It should be focused on a single overall objective, but detailed enough to track progress over time.
Your goal should be written in self-determined language. (“I” should be the subject of every sentence.)
You should only set lower limits, not upper limits. (“I will achieve at least…”)
It should be written out by hand using only positive language. (“I will do…” instead of “I will not do…”)

Create Memory Associations: Translating your written goal
for the non-verbal parts of your brain.
Step 1. Underline the essential elements from your written paragraph and
list them below.

Step 2. Ask yourself to remember a time in your life that matches what you
intuitively mean by each of your essential elements.

Take your time recalling memories that best represent what you intuitively mean.
If you’re unable to find a memory, use a resonating experience that you either witnessed or read about.
Helpful questions to answer in your written outline:
What happened? Where was it?
Who was there? What was said?
What were you feeling?
What were you thinking?
What was the outcome?

Examples:
December 1st, 2019: I recall a time when I’m looking at my calendar in early December. I’m planning my
trip for the holidays to visit my family and deciding which date to leave town. I’m excited to see my
parents and I’m thinking about how it’s been awhile since I had a vacation.
Necessary and appropriate: I recall a time when I’m under a tight deadline to finish writing an article for
a popular magazine. The deadline was a bit unreasonable, but I powered through, losing some sleep to
finish a final draft. I was thrilled about the opportunity and was thinking that the extra effort was worth
it in the long run.

Step 4. Anchor an intention that “this is what you mean” by your essential
element, using a self-affirming statement.

Second, read the final experience that you outlined, which represents what you mean.
Third, read the below self-affirming statement.
Finally, take a full breath of air in, and anchor the intention in your mind as you exhale.
Self-affirming statement:
“This is what I mean by {essential element}, please merge my outlined imaginary experience and this phrase, so
that whenever I say, read or think about my goal, it will give me an immediate conscious and unconscious perfect
understanding and experience. Please do this in ways that are for the greatest good of me and all concerned.”
Repeat steps 2 through 4, for each of your essential elements.

Priming Your Mind: Create inner alignment by maintaining
sustained mental focus on your goal.
Step 1. Choose a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed or distracted.

Turn off your phone, close the door and remove any distractions.
You’ll need a pen and few sheets of paper to write on.
Step 2. Read the full paragraph that outlines your goal.
•

As you’re reading it, do your best to experience it happening in your mind.
Notice what it looks like, how it makes you feel, and what it makes you think.
Create a movie of having achieved what you’re reading in your head.
Step 3. Repeat the process 100 times.
•

If you’re reading your goal aloud, make sure nobody else can hear you.
Use roman numerals to keep track of your progress.
Do at least 25 continuous repetitions per day, for 4 consecutive days. (50 for 2 days)
Write down any inspiration or conflict that arises in your mind during the process.
Hard Mode Priming: Write out your paragraph 100 times instead.

This more effectively imprints on the nonverbal parts of your mind what you want to accomplish.
With more time focused on your goal, you’ll produce better lists of inspiration and conflict.
Only try this if you’re incredibly motivated, and the desirability of your goal is a 10 out of 10.
Maintaining Your Edge.

After you complete 100 iterations, perform 1 priming process per day until your finish date.
Track your progress for each of the specific criteria to make sure you stay on track.
Resolve any internal conflict that arises. These blocks will stop you from being successful.
