Messi and Ronaldo “David and Goliath in Football”
Messi and Ronaldo, two of the best football player that step on this planet. Many
young players have step their game to be the best and beat this two, but many players
in this era can beat the consistency of this two, either they can’t perform in big league
or just being hype by the media and still can’t match these two. In this Comparison
essay, I will compare between Messi and Ronaldo, and why both of them are so
consistent on the last 16 years in their career.
Messi is a Argentine football player that plays for Argentina national team and
captain for Spanish football club Barcelona. On the other hand, Ronaldo is a
Portugish football player that plays for Portugal national team and forward in Italian
football club Juventus. But Messi and Ronaldo have their first encounter when
Barcelona meet Manchester United in the UCL final season 2008/2009. And in this
game Barcelona have won it and become UCL winner at that time. In season
2009/2010 Real Madrid have bought Ronaldo for a transfer record, and accidently
meets Messi again in the same league, this is were rivaly between Ronaldo and Messi
start. From those year, both of them are push each other up to be the best in their
generation until Ronaldo left Real Madrid to pursue a new career at Juventus team in
season 2018/2019. When they are not in the same league anymore, they still compete
for the best.
Unlike Ronaldo, Messi have a problem in his capability. First of all Ronaldo is taller
than Messi, both of them are between 185 Cm and 170 Cm. Secondly due to his
height, Ronaldo can jump higher than any player in his generation. Thirdly in his late
36 years old, have tested that his body have a body of 20 year old young people, that
make him a lot younger than he looks. But I didn’t say Messi is awful, I mean look
at the bright side. First because he’s smaller than Ronaldo, he’s rely on his speed and
his dribbling signature to trick the enemy. Second he’s a player that can perform in
many area in the field. He can play from the middle, he can act as a pure striker or
second striker in the forward, and he also can perform in the right wing as well.
However, comparing these two will be a mouthful and debate, all media always
comparing these two. Because of them many fans that fan-girling Messi and Ronaldo
are fighting for whose’s the best. From what I hear, I cannot say who’s the best
between those two, but my personal love from those two are Messi

DKI Jakarta and East Kalimantan
Indonesia is my homeland. Indonesia is an archipelagic country. The capital
city of Indonesia is Jakarta. I live on the border of Jakarta. Then, I heard the news
about moving the capital city of Indonesia. In addition, I often read and hear news on
various sites. The government plans to move the capital city of Jakarta to East
Kalimantan. One of the reasons for moving the capital city is the natural disaster
in Jakarta. Therefore, the government chose a strategic place for the capital city.
Jakarta has a strategic area. Likewise, East Kalimantan is in the middle of a
strategic Indonesian territory. However, Jakarta has problems of pollution, traffic
jams, and flooding. “Jakarta has a population of 10,915,364 million people”. Jakarta
has tall buildings and densely populated houses. There water is difficult to absorb.
Then, water that is difficult to absorb causes flooding. Flooding is also caused by
household waste made from plastic. Furthermore, Jakarta has a lot of public and
private transportation. These vehicles cause traffic jams and environmental pollution.
Both Jakarta and Kalimantan are the largest areas in Indonesia. Like Jakarta,
East Kalimantan is at risk of flooding. However, Jakarta is in danger of sinking.
“Why in East Kalimantan? First, minimal disaster risk, including floods, earthquakes,
tsunamis, forest fires, and landslides," said President Joko Widodo at a press
conference at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (26/8/2019). East Kalimantan
province still looks natural. Therefore, East Kalimantan still has a lot of dense forest,
and there are rarely tall buildings. The government says East Kalimantan is an
ideal area for a new capital city, but I think it will also damage the natural
environment in the East Kalimantan region. Moreover, if Kalimantan has many
tall buildings. Then, the area is difficult to absorb water. Neither Jakarta nor East
Kalimantan can absorb water properly. Therefore, both Jakarta and East
Kalimantan will always be threatened by flooding.
The government will move the capital city of Indonesia to an area is similar to
the natural disaster in Jakarta. The government should not move the capital.
However, the government should address the problems that exist in Jakarta. The
people of Jakarta and its surroundings must also take care of the environment. We
must preserve the environment by planting plants around the house, reducing the use
of private vehicles, not using excessive plastic materials, and not littering. Finally, we
must protect Jakarta so that the capital city is not moved.

advances in this century which is much loved by various groups, both young people
and adults use it in everyday life. Thus, that is based on the ease of use to
communicate, express, and share information among users. Besides it, there are many
choices of social media platforms that can be used, such as Instagram and Twitter
which are the most popular among young people. Twitter is one of the social media
platforms that provides features in the form of posting tweets, such as threads, images,
or videos that can be replied and retweet by other users. Meanwhile, Instagram is a
social media platform where we can share every moment with other users through
posting images or videos inserted caption to explain the content. Both are popular
social media that have similarities and differences, though there are also many
utilities and information that I would like to share in this essay.
As I explained above, Twitter is a social media platform that has the main
feature in the form of the tweet as a way to communicate through text. Apart
from that, Twitter has another recently updated feature called “fleet” with the use to
share brief stories within 24 hours. Twitter is not just a platform that provides a place
to write an ordinary text, but there are also so many users who share useful threads
about knowledge, questions and answers, tips, entertainment stories, motivational
quotes, and many other interesting threads. With the convenience, this platform is also
commonly used as a place to share stories about user’s life problems or to discuss the
latest issues, such as politics. Therefore, Twitter frequently becomes the first platform
to give the latest news that will be viral all over the social media platform even to the
TV news. Furthermore, this platform also makes it easy for users to make friends by
joining various communities and freely exchanging opinions or arguing the content of
the tweet. In addition, Twitter is a social media platform that has selective and
consistent policies, especially in awarding verified badges for public figure accounts.
Slightly different from Twitter that uses text as its main feature,
Instagram is a social media platform whose main feature is posting images or
videos that are inserted with a caption. This platform also includes several features,
such as the latest update named “reels” and Instagram story that is similar to Twitter’s
new feature named fleet which shows stories within 24 hours. Twitter provides a lot
of information in the form of the text or thread. Likewise, Instagram provides a lot of
information in various kinds of knowledge in the form of images or videos with brief
explanations in the caption. Besides it, while Twitter is commonly used to share
threads or to discuss with other users, Instagram is commonly used to share
aesthetic and pleasing images or videos that make the user’s feed looks more
attractive. As the result, this social media platform is strategic for promoting sales
through users who have thousands or even million audiences that obtained from
attractive feeds and contents which are not the same as Twitter that the contents do
not focus on the appearance of the feed. Moreover, another difference between these
platforms is Instagram users are not as easy as Twitter users to make friends or be a
celebrity by only joining on random discussions or creating entertaining contents.
However, this “colourful” platform is easier than the “blue bird” platform in giving
verification badges to users who have many followers even though they are not real
public figures.
Overall, Instagram and Twitter are social media platforms that provide many
of the uses that commonly users need. Easy to share information, provide a place for
free expression, and as a place to communicate are the main features of both social
media. However, if you like to discuss and share experiences or information in a
thread, Twitter is the best platform to use. On the other hand, if you like to share
moments in the form of visualizations that can refresh eyesight, then Instagram will
be the best choice for you. In the end, I would like to suggest all of you to use
Twitter because this platform genuinely provides various kinds of information
also gives spaces for users to think more brightly.
