Dropshipping Masterplan

Dropshipping
Masterplan:
Everything from A to Z
by Key Fluellen
How I started
I began dropshipping in 2017 by designing shirts, sweaters, hoodies,
hats, and socks. Without much knowledge of what dropshipping was and
how sales worked, I grossed about $1k over the course of 3 months before
I gave up. I dabbled in stocks, stock options, and real estate before I finally
came back to dropshipping in 2019. I was seeing a lot of successful Shopify
online stores and I could not figure out how it was being done until I
randomly watched Youtube videos about marketing, products,
suppliers/vendors, influencer marketing, shopify apps, and more. A whole
new world opened up. I hit $43,378 in sales from July 2019 - November
2019 (Shown to the right. This was really within 4 months because I
opened the shopify store in July but didn’t utilize it until the end of August
b/c I was using eBay). By February 2020, I was hitting $2k PER DAY. I’ve
built on this knowledge, incorporated the hundreds of hours of watching
videos, testing ads, and taking marketing courses into this one
Dropshipping Masterclass. Take your time. Go step by step and you’ll be a
successful business owner in no time. Enjoy!

BONUS - How to Dropship on
eBay (no website needed)
Dropshipping is a type of retail fulfillment method
where a store doesn’t stock products because it
purchases the products from a third-party supplier.
This means a store owner can list products from a
supplier on their website without buying the product
first. When the store owner gets a sale, they buy it
from the supplier at a cheaper price. The supplier
then sends the product directly to the customer. The
store owner makes profit by being the middle man.
Refer to model on the right.
Dropshipping can be done from anywhere in the world. You can facilitate the sales of
products in the United States while on vacation in Japan. I truly believe that if you aren’t making
money online by 2020, then you’re already behind. Most people use the internet as a connection to
family, friends, and products without ever thinking about being a facilitator. The ability to make
money online is a skillset that you can use to create the life you’ve imagined. By acquiring this
knowledge, you will be able to sell solutions to others that need help (i.e. this course I’m selling) or
use it to grow your own store.
This is not a get rich quick scheme. It requires work and passion to manage an online store
before it becomes automated and runs it self. The reward can be high for owning a profitable online
store. I’ve seen a store that earned $5k a month in sales be sold for $15k on Flippa.com. Yes, there
are people who only build dropshipping stores to get enough sales so that they can sell them for
large sums of money. The possibilities are endless.
This course was created to inform the average person on how to build a successful
dropshipping business without having any prior knowledge, but the value packed in this course can
also help an expert. Whatever your experience level is, I can almost guarantee that you’ll learn
something you did not know before.
You will see me endorse the hosting website, Shopify, a lot in this course. It is the only website that
I use to host any stores. Shopify.com is my favorite store host because of the super simple layouts.
You can literally create a website within 30 minutes using one of the preset themes.
A theme is a website template that Shopify lets you choose based on how you want to display your
products. It is easy to set up and use, plus the app integrations are the best in the industry. You can
add the Facebook and Instagrams apps so you can sell directly from those platforms. The analytics
provided by Shopify about your audience will help you garner more sales when running ads.
There are apps that will allow you to dropship your own clothing brand designs (which I’ll provide
for you). Also, whenever a customer visits your website or buys from you, it automatically starts an
email list for you to market to.
I could go on and on but I figured this is a good time to get into the information! Alright, let’s go!
Start Up Costs
● Shopify gives you a FREE 14-day trial ($29/month after)
● GoDaddy.com for $12.99 website domain (optional)
Tip
● Your first influencer ad for $15 or less
Having a domain
name is essential
but you can also
wait until you get a
sale to pay for it.
Products
When looking for winning products to put on
your store, it’s not only important to think about
what you would buy, but what others are already
currently buying. This is why I do product research.
Go to Oberlo.com and see what items in any
niche have over 700 orders with good reviews. This
is simple, yet effective. Another way is to look at
your own social media feeds. There are ads put in
front of you everyday. Start paying attention to
video views, page likes, and see what is going viral
then find it on Oberlo and add it to your store.
Do not be limited to this list. Anything can sell
with great marketing!

How to Strategically Present & Price Products
If you picked your products from an app connected to your Shopify store, then you can just push the products to
your store automatically from that app. It will include the price, pictures, and a description. You should
definitely edit the price and description before pushing the products to your store..
If you pick your products from a supplier that isn’t on the Shopify App Store, then you’ll need to copy and paste
their pictures & create your own descriptions (make sure you don’t include their logos). Go look at some of your
favorite website’s products descriptions. I’ve noticed men like the product benefits simple & straight forward.
Women love to read & indulge in what they’re buying so a beautifully typed product description can go a long
way with women.
So you’ve found a product, you know how much it's going to cost you, now you want to determine how much
you should sell it for. When pricing your product, factor in shipping cost so you can offer free shipping because
the shipping cost is already built into the price. Free shipping can be a main promo or selling point. You also
want to look at what the product is going for on other stores.
Remember you don’t want to price yourself out of a sale because of it being too cheap or too expensive. People
equate good quality with a fair price so don’t cheat yourself & price everything too low. But you also don’t want
to be selling a $10 item for $500. Find a happy medium.

Setting Up Your Shopify Store
Go to Shopify.com and sign up for the free 14-day
trial. Click “Apps” on the left menu. Then click “Visit
the Shopify App Store”. Search for Oberlo and add it
to your store. You can now search for products and
add them to your store.

the rest of the store, which is fairly easy after you’ve
picked your products.
Use Canva.com to create a logo for free. You can also
make promo pictures for free on there.
Use Unsplash.com for free stock photos
Tip
Send the link to close
friends & family for
feedback on the site
before you launch!
Browse the Free Themes and see which one would display your products best. After you’ve picked your
theme, when editing, change the layout colors to something that goes with your logo colors and is easy
on the eyes when viewing your products. Click through all of the settings and play around to make a
beautiful landing page.
The first thing I want to see when clicking a website link is a picture of the product/brand that is so
stunning it grabs my attention and makes me keep scrolling because I’ve become so interested and
curious in this product/brand. After I’ve scrolled no more than half way down, I want to see why I should
buy from this company (company introduction or mission statement, company history, etc. I need to see
something reassuring. Then by the end of the page, I need to see things that seals the deal (shipping
policy, return policy, contact form, etc.
After editing, don’t forget to save and publish.
To make the website menu, watch this short video link.

How to Create Winning Ads
Scroll down your social media feeds right now and see which ads catch
your attention. Study the ads that make you look at the photo long
enough to be interested in what they are selling so you read the caption,
then eventually click the link.
The ad was mostly likely simple, precise, and informative. Use canva.com
to add text to your product photos that describe any features/benefits
of the product or the benefits of taking a look at your store. For example,
“10% off only today” or “Biggest selection of women’s shoes” plus a call
to action like “Shop now. Don’t miss out on today’s sale”. The image on
the top is a great example of a Facebook/Instagram ad.
Ads that you pay influencers to post on their page can be a bit more
specific when trying to target a specific audience. Things like
“Black-Owned” or “Military Vet” are good to put on these ads like the
bottom image.
Influencer Marketing
Tip
You can use their
engagement rate as a
negotiating tactic.
The most effective and cheapest way to get your ad in front of the most people is
through influencer marketing. An influencer is a brand or person that has a large
social media following (10k or more). You can use niche pages or individual
people. You pick an influencer to use based on what you’re selling. For example,
you’re selling women’s clothes, pick a fashionable influencer or a niche page that
focuses on style.
Check their page’s engagement rates on phlanx.com. Shoot for 3%-8%
engagement rates. Then check their posts and comments to make sure it’s not
just fake pages or comments.
When contacting a page that you like, keep it short and simple:
“Hello! Love your page! What are your promo rates?”
If the page isn’t that big, you can also offer to send a free product in exchange for
free promo.
Influencer Pricing
10k - 50k followers: $5 - $15
50k - 200k followers: $15 - $25
200k - 350k followers: $20 - $35
350k - 500k followers: $30 - $55
500k & up followers: $50 & up
I suggest not going over these pricing limits for ads. If one page is too expensive,
there’s always another one within your budget.
Facebook/Instagram Ads
I do not recommend trying to run these types of
ads if you have a small budget. The way
Facebook/IG have set up their ad platform makes
it hard to reach paying customers without having a
lot of money to test out analytics and audiences.
The key to these ads being profitable is finding the
correct audience. Facebook ads manager has a
feature that will allow you to find an audience
through their interests, hobbies, age, income level,
location, etc. Getting these selections right is
essential to running a profitable ad.
Explaining Facebook/IG ads is a task in itself. If
you’re to the point where you have a couple
hundred bucks to throw into marketing, please
reach out to me on IG @KeyFluellen and I will be
glad to help.
