Augusta County Lab Safety “Quick” Check
This is a checklist to quickly and easily evaluate the readiness of the safety
equipment in your lab. As part of the OSHA Laboratory Standard, safety equipment
must be checked on a regular basis. It is also a good policy to document your
inspection. If problems are found, repairs must be made promptly. All inspection
checklists should be compiled and a written report sent to the principal for prompt
action.
Answer yes or no, provide it’s location, provide a quick description, sketch a picture,
and describe why and how it would be used. If the lab does not have the specific
piece of equipment, is there an alternative in place? If so, provide all of the same
information as above.
