A Case Study Competition on Revenue Generation Strategies for a social interaction platform
similar to Twitter.
Background:
In the era of social media dominance social media have transformed the way people communicate,
share information, and engage with others. Develop innovative revenue generation strategies for
the same. The objective is to explore avenues for sustainable monetization while maintaining user
engagement and addressing real-life challenges.
Problem Statement:
Participants are tasked with formulating comprehensive revenue generation strategies for a
microblogging and social networking service. The case study should focus on identifying and
capitalizing on monetization opportunities, considering user behavior, market dynamics, and the
evolving landscape of social media platforms.

social networking market, including an assessment of Twitter's, Share Chat, Daily Hunt
revenue streams and business model. Identify the key drivers of revenue generation in the

Retention: Develop strategies to enhance user engagement and retention. Identify features,
content curation, and community-building initiatives that can attract and retain a loyal user
base, fostering active participation and user-generated content.
Monetization Models: Explore and evaluate various monetization models that can be
implemented on the platform. Consider advertising, freemium subscriptions, partnerships,
sponsored content, data monetization, and any other innovative revenue streams. Assess
the feasibility, scalability, and potential impact of each model. Along with the monetizable
DAUs, MAUs in the current and last Financial Year.
User Privacy and Data Ethics: Address the critical issue of user privacy and data ethics in
revenue generation strategies. Develop policies and measures to ensure user data
protection, transparency, and compliance with relevant regulations. Consider approaches
that balance revenue generation with user trust and satisfaction.
