If you’re feeling that you’re constantly busy throughout the day without seeing the light at the end of the tunnel… … then you MUST start prioritizing your tasks and responsibilities, otherwise, you’re going to exhaust yourself. When you’re not prioritizing your tasks, you may be doing tasks that are urgent but not important at all; or you may be neglecting truly important tasks that can move the needle. Not prioritizing is one of the most common reasons why people fail to achieve their goals or get the results they want. To help you prioritize effectively, we have this method at Lifehack called the Superstructure Method. Whenever you have multiple tasks, and responsibilities on the table, start by establishing a clear intention by asking yourself these 2 questions… "What’s the objective?" "What am I/we are trying to achieve?" After you have all your tasks and responsibilities listed out, put them into these 3 different categories: 1. Must-Have - Absolutely critical to achieving the objective you set. Without these tasks, the results you want to achieve are meaningless. 2. Should-Have - Important but not crucial tasks and responsibilities. However, leaving them out may impact the quality of the final result. 3. Good-To-Have - Having these tasks/responsibilities is nice, but not including them won’t have any negative impact on your objective. This is one of the best methods all my team members at Lifehack use to prioritize tasks in order to progress towards our goals. To implement the Superstructure Method easily then… … you need a planner. Our Full Life Planner can help you plan and align your everyday tasks and actions with your goals based on the Superstructure Method.
