Water cycle It starts and never ends It is a system so it has different parts working together Water can be store in soil, oceans, seas, rivers, lakes, groundwater, glaciers, ice sheets, streams, dams, atmosphere, permeable rocks, plants 3% fresh water 97% salty water We can find the 3% of the fresh water in ice sheets and glaciers 74% and groundwater 25% And in a little porcentage in lakes rivers soil and the atmosphere PARTS: Inputs: things which go into de system( rain- hall- sleet-snow) Outputs: (vapour) go out of the system Stores: places where water is collected Flows: transport of water from a place to another Transfers: to move water from the land to the athmosphere PROCESSES: Evaporation: the sun heats the water changes to vapour and goes to the atmosphere Transpiration: water is lost from vegetation Evapotranspiration: all the water lost in earth Condensation: water vapor cools and form clouds Precipitation: water that falls into the surface in form of rain, hail, sleet, snow Interception: water is prevented for falling directly to the surface by trees plants buildings Run off: water that flows over the surface finding it way into body’s of water Infiltration: the remainder water that seeps underground downwards Ground water flow: the remainder water that seeps underground sideways
