At the end of the course, students will be able to: explain the importance of conducting educational research; apply appropriate techniques to cite references in the text and prepare the list of references; design the methodology for conducting a research study. prepare a research proposal. This course offers students the opportunity to learn how to design and conduct research for decision-making and to understand the causes and consequences of a variety of various educational issues. Students will be given the opportunity to deconstruct and analyse research studies in order to acquire an understanding of various research methodologies and the basic skills required to apply them in practice. While qualitative research techniques are examined, a considerable portion of the course is focused on designing and implementing surveys. A key output of the course is the ability to produce a research proposal, which could be used by students who intend to do survey research as part of their applied project.
