People have different views about whether availing of animals for medical study to help humanity is
right or it is unacceptable. In my view, I think that implementing research on animals is more safe and
cheaper instead of doing it on humans. This essays will discuss both views and present my opinion.
On the one hand, it is true that animals suffer from animal experimentation. When these animals were
put into experiments, they could lose their free-lives and tortured by chemicals that were unlikely to be
safe. They could bear many kinds of pain such as blindness, skin burns. Nowadays, many savage
experiments on animals have been conducted.
In spite of these arguments, I believe that the benefits still outweigh the moral matters. Firstly.
researcher could utilize genetically human-like animals to test out and learn about reactions of
medicines or methods of treatment before possibly use them on humans. In fact, that is what we,
humans, have done for centuries in order to pick up knowledge and produce affective medicines which
have no or little bad impacts on a human body. Secondly, it is a safe and money-saving way to approach
medical researching. For instance, an experiment on mouse is less expensive and risky than on human
but bring almost the same results, saving many lives.
In conclusion, people can’t stand barbaric animal experimentation in term of morality and claim that it is
inhumane. However, I believe that animals should be sacrificed to improve the efficiency of medicines
and ensure human safety as long as experiments are carried out properly.
