The air quality monitoring system is basing on the figure above that shows index of each
parameter and their equivalent ratings. Nitrogen Dioxide safe level is about 0 to 1 ppm while
moderate is 2 to 5 ppm and lastly the more than 5ppm can be lethal and considered Poor air
quality. Carbon monoxide’s safe level is around 0-2 ppm and is non-lethal while moderate has
an index of 3-9 ppm considered to be not healthy if exposed for a long period of time and lastly
poor with an index of 10 and above which is lethal for human and can caused different types of
illness if exposed for a period of time. Particulate matter 2.5 on the other hand has a safe level
of 0-12 μg/m3 which is non-lethal. PM2.5 if reach 13-34 μg/m3 is not healthy and if exposed for
a long time, can cause different illness such as lungs problem while anything more than 35
μg/m3 can affect anyone including a healthy person without any illnesses and also cause them
to have blood circulation problem due to pm2.5 entering their blood streams. Particulate
matter 10 is a type of dust that can be seen by naked eye. Safe level of this can reach up to 50
μg/m3 but more than that with 100 μg/m3 as the limit can be considered moderate and can
cause different illness including lungs problem and 101 ppm and above is lethal to anyone.
