a. Have pupils look at the books on your table.
b. Ask: Will these books move? Why? What will
you do to move these books on my table?
c. Call several pupils to go in front and show how
they can move the books?
d. Ask: What did they do to move the books?
e. Teacher writes pupils responses on the board.

Objects move by giving a push or a pull. Kicking,
throwing, and lifting make objects move. Wind
and moving water can make things move also.

Magnets that face each other with the same pole do
not attract. It repels. Magnets that face each other in
an opposite pole they attract.
