Course Performance Task 2: ABOUT THE MOVIE ENTITLED ‘GUTOM’
As I watched the short film entitled Gutom it was basically all about the
hunger and poverty situation that our country experiences then up to now. It
showed the life of the mendicant who still asking food to someone else.
After watching this film" I really felt sad for the current situations that are
happening in our society today. I’ve always heard about poverty and hunger but
never really imagined that it would be this hard for those experiencing it. I in my
lifetime never had a day without food. Seeing this film made me think about others"
who are very unfortunate.
It made me grateful for what I have. But I don’t want to simply stop there I
want to be part of the solution to this problem. As a student" probably what I can
do is to join feeding programs to be able to reach those who need this the most. I
can also help in donating food for the less fortunate. I can give in my own ways
whenever I see people in the street that are hungry" that is why I always carry
biscuits with me wherever I go. This is to give food to them instead of giving money.
The lesson of the short film Gutom shows that everyone in this world has
different ways of dealing with it. Suicide is not a solution. The lesson here is that
when you are going through something, you will always remember that God is there,
He is there even if you forget him and won’t leave you with. When you have no one,
believe Him because no matter what God will always help you.
Moreover, everything that happens in this world has a reason as long as you
believe in Him, everything that is impossible for you will become possible, don't lose
hope just trust in Him.
Lastly, I would like to say that Life is like a game called bang-sak na kung saan
ang magiging taya ay ang mga mamamayan at ang maghahanap sa taya ng larong
ito ay ang gobyerno na kung saan ang sino man ang nasa taas ay siya ang may
kapangyarihan gawin ang lahat at kung sino ang mga ordinaryong tao ay sila naman
ang magiging laruan.
A toy with rights but not enough knowledge, like in the song "tatsulok" a lyric
that stuck in my mind that says "as long as there is a ‘tatsulok’ they are all in top and
this mess won't end" a type of people who only think about their own interests.
The last line ‘Gutom pa ho ako” has a deep meaning in our society it shows
life must go on no matter how hard the situation is. God is always in our hearts we
must be thankful for everything He was been given to us, we must be satisfied and
forget appetence in life.
