Re: Height of HVAC
CAUTION: This email originated from outside of SEA-DAR.
Do you have a product you can recommend? It might come in standard sizes. These access hatches should be
concealed frame (minimal exposed edge), with outer surface finished like the wall (GWB and spackle is the preference,
with paintable metal as the alternate). I'm going to add Yoshi to the chain.
Hi Yoshi - for the concealed hatches accessing the loft. I imagine this will get infrequent use. I thought it's a simple
concealed metal frame hatch with maybe just a finger pull and a piano hinge. The outer surface should be able to be
finished in GWB and spackle, so the hatch is mostly invisible. The size I had drawn was 24 x 24, but maybe a 30w x 24 is
better to climb into. It could be even a little bigger than that for easier access. At some point this starts to become
more like a real door. I'm asking if Jessica has a product they can recommend. The drawing below shows a 30 x 24
hatch. What do you think? We can use the same product for both the hatch over the entry at the stair and the hatch
over the office.

Thank you, John. I will add this response to the closed RFI.
To ensure heights of the AC units and the hatch door have been properly coordinated, can you please send us details
on the hatch door size, type and any applicable hardware (lever, hinges, lock, etc)? I will create RFI for this later in am.
Thank you!

Hi Jessica - this RFI seems to have been closed? disappeared? The measurement for the top of the
HVAC units (both) is 11'-0" AFF.
