Cutting Plane Lines
• Use DASHED lines
• Can make a layer for Cutting Plane Lines
• OR
– Format>Linetype>Load DASHED
– Modify>Properties, Select Linetype—DASHED\
– Add a leader: Leader tool from Dimension Tbar
• Use OSNAP Perpendicular to find pt of arrow
• After placing, enter twice, letter A, enter twice
– Sometimes messes up with a little leader extension
– Arrowheads: DimensionStyles, arrows, scale 0.5
Drawing Hatch
• Draw a few closed shapes
• Draw Tools > Hatch, then PickPoints and
– Click inside area(s) then enter when done
– Click OK—hatch will be there
• Adjust Hatch size/pattern (Draw>Hatch)
– Check out patterns ANSI31, etc.
– Change angle and scale
