Abp Viganò: Has Pope Francis now
‘disavowed’ being Vicar of Christ?
The Pope now seems to declare himself 'absolute monarch even with
respect to Christ,' according to the archbishop.

April 4, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – Former papal nuncio Archbishop Carlo Maria
Viganò has called the dropping of Pope Francis’ essential title “Vicar of Christ”
from the 2020 Pontifical Yearbook an act that appears to “officially alter the
Papacy,” such that the Pope “no longer recognizes himself as guardian.”
“This change in the layout and content of an official text of the Catholic
Church cannot be ignored, nor is it possible to attribute it to a gesture of
humility on the part of Francis, which is not in keeping with his name being so
prominently featured,” wrote Viganò in a statement he sent to LifeSiteNews
(read full statement below).
“Instead, it seems possible to see in it the admission — passed over in silence
— of a sort of usurpation, whereby it is not the “Servus servorum Dei” [The
Servant of the Servants of God] who reigns, but the person of Jorge Mario
Bergoglio, who has officially disavowed being the Vicar of Christ, the
Successor of the Prince of the Apostles and the Supreme Pontiff, as if they
were annoying trappings of the past: only mere ‘historical titles,’” he added.
LifeSite reported April 2 that Pope Francis, in a surprise move, dropped the
historic and essential title “Vicar of Christ” from the 2020 Pontifical Yearbook,
the Holy See’s annual directory, relegating the title to a footnote, calling it a
“historical title.”
While previous yearbooks listed the title “Vicar of Christ” and the name of the
reigning Pope under that title, this year’s annual directory simply lists the
name “Jorge Mario Bergoglio,” the name of the man who became Pope Francis
in 2013. The title “Vicar of Jesus Christ” stems from Holy Scripture where
Jesus granted St. Peter the power of the keys in the Church.

Archbishop Viganò said it’s as if Pope Francis now views himself as becoming
“master of the Church, free to demolish it from within without having to
answer to anyone.”

“In short, a tyrant,” he said.
Cardinal Gerhard Müller, former prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine
of the Faith, also raised concern about the Pope’s move, calling the change
“theological barbarism.”
“No Pope or Ecumenical Council,” the German prelate continued, “could, with
reference to their highest authority over the Church, do away with the
primacy, the episcopacy, or the Sacraments, or to re-interpret them in their
essence.”
Matteo Bruni, director of the Vatican press office, told Catholic News Service
that “there has been no suppression” of a title.
“The definition of 'historic' in relation to the titles attributed to the pope on
one of the pages dedicated to him in the Annuario Pontificio of 2020 seems to
me to indicate the bond with the history of the papacy," said Bruni, adding
that all the other titles “are understood to be tied historically to the title of
bishop of Rome because at the moment he is designated by the conclave to
guide the church of Rome, the one elected acquires the titles tied to this
nomination.”
Archbishop Viganò gained prominence worldwide when he made it public in
August 2018 that Pope Francis was part of the cover-up for then-Cardinal
Theodore McCarrick who abused seminarians and priests.

Full statement by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò:
“You Have Said So”
“Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” And they were very sorrowful,
and began to say to him one after another, “Is it I, Lord?” He answered, “He
who has dipped his hand in the dish with me, will betray me. The Son of man
goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is
betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”
Judas, who betrayed him, said, “Is it I, Master?” He said to him, “You have
said so.” Mt 26, 20-25
On March 25, the 2020 Pontifical Yearbook was published with a real novelty.
It may seem like a typographical trifle, in the part dedicated to the reigning
pontiff, but this is not the case. Until last year, in fact, Francis’s titles were
listed at the top of the page, beginning with “Vicar of Christ”, “Successor of the
Prince of the Apostles” etc., and ending with his birth name and a very brief
biography.
In the new edition, on the other hand, the secular name JORGE MARIO
BERGOGLIO stands out in large letters, followed by the biography, the date of
election and the beginning of his “ministry as universal Pastor of the Church.”
Separated by a dash and the words, “Historical titles,” all the titles of the
Roman Pontiff are then listed, as if they were no longer an integral part of the
Munus Petrinum that legitimizes the authority which the Church recognizes in
the Pope.
This change in the layout and content of an official text of the Catholic Church
cannot be ignored, nor is it possible to attribute it to a gesture of humility on
the part of Francis, which is not in keeping with his name being so
prominently featured. Instead, it seems possible to see in it the admission —
passed over in silence — of a sort of usurpation, whereby it is not the “Servus
servorum Dei” who reigns, but the person of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who has
officially disavowed being the Vicar of Christ, the Successor of the Prince of
the Apostles and the Supreme Pontiff, as if they were annoying trappings of
the past: only mere “historical titles.”
An almost defiant gesture — one might say — in which Francis transcends
every title. Or worse: an act to officially alter the Papacy, by which he no
longer recognizes himself as guardian, but becomes master of the Church,
free to demolish it from within without having to answer to anyone. In short, a
tyrant.
May the significance of this most serious act not escape pastors and the
faithful, for by it the sweet Christ on earth — as St. Catherine called the Pope
— releases himself from his role as Vicar to proclaim himself, in a delirium of
pride, absolute monarch even with respect to Christ.
We are approaching the sacred days of the Savior’s Passion, which commences
in the Upper Room with the betrayal of one of the Twelve. It is not illegitimate
to wonder whether the understanding words with which Bergoglio tried to
rehabilitate Judas on June 16, 2016 were not a clumsy attempt to exonerate
himself.
This chilling thought is further confirmed by the terrible decision to allow an
almost universal ban of the public celebration of Easter, for the first time since
the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
“The Son of man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom
the Son of man is betrayed!” (Mt 26:24) + Carlo Maria Viganò, Archbishop

The Warning is a thing that comes directly from God and will be visible
throughout the entire world in whatever place anyone might be.
The Warning will be like a revelation of our sins — and it will be seen and
experienced equally by believers and non-believers and people of any religion
whatsoever.
The Warning is like a purification for the Miracle.
And it is a sort of a catastrophe. It will make us think of the dead, that is, we
would prefer to be dead rather than to experience the Warning.
The Warning is something supernatural and will not be explained by science.
It will be seen and felt.
The Warning will be a correction of the conscience of the world.
For those who do not know Christ, they will believe it is a Warning from God.
The most important thing about that day is that everyone in the whole world
will see a sign, a grace, or a punishment within themselves, in other words, a
Warning.
They will find themselves all alone in the world no matter where they are at
the time, alone with their conscience right before God.
They will then see all their sins and what their sins have caused.
We will all feel it differently because it will depend on our conscience. The
Warning will be very personal, therefore, we will all react differently to it.
The most important thing will be to recognize our own sins and the bad
consequences of them.
Your experience of the Warning will be different from mine because your sins
are different from mine.
This will be a Warning to see what you have done with your sins.
It will be like a purification before the Miracle to see if with the Warning and
Miracle we will be converted.
The Virgin told me that before the Miracle, God will be sending us a Warning
so as to purify us or prepare us to see the Miracle and in this way we may
draw enough grace to change our lives toward God.
It is a phenomenon which will be seen and felt in all the world and
everywhere; I have always given as an example that of two stars that
collide.
This phenomenon will not cause physical damage, but it will horrify us
because at that very moment we will see our souls and the harm we have
done.
It will be as though we were in agony but we will not die by its effects but
perhaps we will die of fright or shock to see ourselves.
No one will have doubts of it being from God, and of its not being human.
I who know what it is, am very much afraid of that day. The Virgin told us
that the Warning and Miracle will be the last warnings or public

manifestations that God will give us. This is why I believe that after them we
will be near the end of time.
To me it's like two stars that crash and make a lot of noise and a lot of light
but they don't fall down.
It's something that's not going to hurt us but we're going to see it.
In that moment, we're going to see our conscience. You're going to see
everything wrong that you're doing and the good you're not doing.

Loli about the Warning


Everyone will experience it wherever they may be, regardless of their
condition or their knowledge of God. It will be an interior personal
experience. It will look as if the world has come to a standstill, however, no
one will be aware of that as they will be totally absorbed in their own
experience.
It is going to be something like an interior feeling of sorrow and pain for
having offended God. God will help us to see clearly the harm we are causing
Him and all the evil things we do. He will help us to sense this interior pain
because often when we do something wrong we just ask the Lord's
forgiveness with our lips, but now (through the Warning) He will help us
sense physically that deep sorrow.

Jacinta about the Warning

The Warning is something that is first seen in the air everywhere in the world
and immediately is transmitted into the interior of our souls. It will last for a
very little time, but it will seem a very long time because of its effect within
us. It will be for the good of our souls, in order to see in ourselves our
conscience, the good and the bad that we've done.

Mari Cruz about the Warning
…[T]he Virgin never was threatening, it was a warning — like a mother who advises
a son, be he takes a bad road
Interview with Mari Cruz, April, 2006
Q. What were your feelings and thoughts regarding the warning (El Aviso), the
Miracle (el Milagro) and the Chastisement (el Castigo)?
A. "The warning (Aviso) has been misconstrued by some who see it as a
threatening situation. I (Mari Cruz) have a different idea about it. For me, I see it
as a situation where a father (parent) scolds a son (in a gentle manner), but not a
threat.
The Miracle (Milagro) — Mari Cruz has no first hand information on this.
The Chastisement (Castigo) — This is a conditional thing and can be avoided
(mitigated) if they would return to God.

The Virgin told me that God was going to perform a great Miracle and that
there would be no doubt about the fact that it was a miracle.
It will come directly from God with no human intervention.
A day will come and she told me the day, the month and the year so I know
the exact date. It is coming soon but I can't reveal it until eight days before
the date.
I am not permitted to say exactly what is going to happen. What I can reveal
is that the Virgin said that everyone who would be there on that day would
see it.
The sick who are there will be cured no matter what their disease or religion.
However, they have to be there.
The Virgin said that everyone present would believe. They would see that this
was coming directly from God.
All sinners present would be converted.
She also said that you would be able to take pictures and televise it.
Also, from that moment on there would be a permanent sign at the pines
that everyone will be able to see and touch but not feel.
And this sign will remain until the end of time.
It seems so near when I think that people are not living the Message,
because after the Miracle there may come the punishment.
To be complete, there must be the Warning and the Miracle. It is all one
message.
The Virgin told me of it and made me understand exactly what it will be.
Even if I tried to explain it I wouldn't be able to do it well. It is better that
you wait and see it.

Garabandal. End of Times
John XXIII plus 4 more Popes before the end
of times
… The four Popes after Pope John XXIII [before the end of the times] rather
than three… This is rather startling news to those who had read only about “three
more Popes…” Actually this was reported in a book in the German Language
published in the early 1990’s, but it seems that most followers of the Garabandal
drama were not aware of this and apparently are still unaware of this. Conchita said
at the time of the death of Pope John XXIII that Our Lady had told her that there
would be three more Popes and then would come the end of the times.
Mr. Albrecht Weber, the author of the book in German mentioned above
(«Garabandal. Der Zeigefinger Gottes»), had become involved in Garabandal in
1963 and became friendly with Conchita. On November 14, 1965, the day after the
last apparition of Our Lady in Garabandal, Mr. Weber interviewed Conchita at her
home in the presence of her mother. There was also present with Mr. Weber an
interpreter. During that interview, it came out that when Conchita had spoken on
the very day that Pope John XXIII died of “Three more Popes and then would come
the end of the times,” her mother had asked her several questions.
In response to one of her mother’s questions, Conchita responded that Our
Lady had actually said that there would be four more Popes but that She was not
counting one of them. When Conchita’s mother heard that she strictly forbade
Conchita to repeat that again as her mother feared there would be erroneous
interpretations and much gossip. People might wrongly believe that one of the
Popes might be false or bad, etc. During that conversation with her mother,
Conchita also said that Our Lady had told her that one of the Popes would have a
very short reign.
