Review of the previous lesson
Teacher posts on the board a word problem involving addition of whole numbers

 Plasa
 Kalapati
 Popcorn
Teacher asks pupils on what they will do if someone is reading.
Teacher reminds pupils on the rules pupils made.

8. How did you get the answer?
(Accuracy Track)
Teacher lets the pupils explain and construct knowledge on how they get the
correct answer. (Constructivism)
OBJECTIVE 2: Used research-based knowledge and principles of teaching and
learning to enhance professional practice
Teacher will reiterate their answers leading to the lesson on subtraction.
Teacher says: So, there are 8 pigeons, and 3 pigeons flew away. We will cross out
these three. Therefore, 8-3=______. How many were left? 5 Very good.
