Bacteria have three basic shapes: Coccus (round), bacillus (rod-shaped), and spiral. Different prefixes also indicate different
shapes. Using the following descriptions, draw each bacteria type and identify the pictures.
Bacilli (singular)/Bacillus (plural): Rod-Shaped
Cocci (singular)/Coccus (plural): Round
Diplo (prefix): Two
Spirilla: Helix/spiral shaped, rigid
Spirochetes: Helix/corkscrew shaped, flexible
Staphylo (prefix): Grape-like clusters
Strepto (prefix): Chained bacteria
Vibrio: Comma-shaped bacilli
