The mandate of Heaven In ancient China, the Emperor was seen as the ultimate sovereign who governed not just China but the entire known world. Outline Introduction I will introduce the importance of the Chinese emperor related to the Chinese culture and elaborate on his title as the mandate of heaven. Forbidden City I will elaborate on why China was known as the forbidden city, including the benefits and struggles of being emperor in the Forbidden City. I will also go in-depth as to why the geographical location of China influenced the Chinese impact on the world and the perception of the emperor's role as “The Mandate of Heaven.” Body The emperors role I will elaborate on the expectations set upon the emperor and the power control he was given. I will also talk about the first emperor of China and other past emperors, comparing how power control and expectations changed throughout the dynasties. The life of the emperor I will talk about the many celestial beliefs placed on emperors, their daily routines, and their daily decisions. This will also include marriage, family, and finances. Conclusion As the bearer of the Mandate of Heaven, the Emperor's divine authority and moral responsibility shaped the course of history and underscored the deep-rooted belief in the harmonious interplay between the celestial and earthly realms.
