Problem/Vision/Idea
Stage 1 (Scoping/Conception)
 The problem was deduced from our scenario (pre-stage) and therefore there is a
need to upgrade or change the transactional system used by the AMP of Canada as
we now know that the current JBA Transactional Processing System does not support
AMP of Canada’s business requirements and is not Year 2000 Compliant (Kerzner,
2006). It is prone to errors causing issues with accuracy, data integration and
significant losses due to required manual interventions.
Stage 2 (Design/Build)
 Detailed information has been gathered from our previous as to what is needed and what
needs to be implemented to better the transactional system used by the AMP of Canada,
once a decision has been made been made from the reports, models and data provided to
our client the project team will therefore more to the third stage.
Stage 3 (Development)
 This stage will be following after completion of Stage 2.
Stage 4 (Testing/Implementing)
 This stage will be following after completion of Stage 3.
Stage 5 (Launch)
 This stage will be following after completion of Stage 2.
