 This afternoon I already divided you into 3 groups of 5-6 members
based on your unique ability. Since, this day activities need your
special skills to carry out our objectives which is not just to learn
but to share what we have learn to others through various media.

CARB, PROTIEN and LIPID depends on the
part of the digestive system and determined
also through the FOOD ROULETTE instead of
tossing dice.
MECHANICS:
The teacher will say a Food Word SET 1(tomato)
and Group 1 will say another food word from the last letter of the
food given by the teacher (orange), then group 2 from group 1(egg)
and group 3 from group 2 (grapes). Until one group will got the
wrong answer. Each will be given 1second to answer.

Based on the foods we mention a while ago…
1.
Differ them as Carbohydrates, Proteins and Lipids.
2.
Which part of the digestive system these particular type of foods
be digested? To answer these question let us preform the activities
below.
 The students will perform with their group mates independently.
 Each group will perform different tasks according to the materials
given to them.
Activity 2 Label Me! (Bodily-Kinesthetic) CARB GROUP
Objectives:
1. Identify the organs that makes up digestive system
2. Describe the function of each organ
1. Carbohydrates:
hamburger
Sayote (Cellulose)
Eggplant
Guava,
Avocado
Proteins:
Egg,
chicken nuggets
Fish
Lipids:
NUTS
Materials:
Gutsy Game Board
Meta strips
Paste
Procedures:
1. Using the meta strips containing the function of each organ in the
digestive system LABEL the Gutsy Game Board posted on the
board in front without detaching it.
Guide Questions:
1. What do the tokens represent? ________________________
2. What do the spaces of the board game represent? _________
3. What are the different organs in the digestive system? ______

digested in the mouth and
completely digested at the
small intestine.
Proteins are digested in the
small intestine
Lipids are digested most at
the stomach and less at the
small intestine
Procedures:
1.
Together with you group mates, stick the masking tape (6.5m
in length) on the floor of the corridor.
2.
Use the notecards to mark the starting point of the tape.
Measure the length of the tape that corresponds to the length stated on
the note card. Place each card to serve as your mark and continue to
measure until you reach the final note card.
Guide Questions:
1.
Based on the activity, which part of the digestive system does
food stay the longest? _____________. Which part does food stay the
shortest? __________
2.
Which part of the digestive system is NOT involved in
digestion? ________
3.
What do you think is the digestion occurs in the mouth?

Activity 4 Turn them to Droplets! (Verbal-Logical) LIPID GROUP
Objective:
1. Simulate the detergent-like action of the human bile to digest fat
droplets
Materials:
Oil
Spoon
Beaker
Water
Liquid detergent Procedures:
1. Prepare two glasses of warm water. Mark Setup A and Setup B. 2.
Add a tablespoon of cooking oil into each glass. Observe what
happens.
3.
Add another tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent to the
first glass (Setup A) and leave the second glass without detergent (Setup
B).
4.
Stir the mixtures in each glass. Compare what happens to the oil
in each glass.
Guide Questions:
1.
Based on your observations, in which of the glasses did the fat
droplets dissolve?
2.
At which part of the digestive system does fat digestion take
place?
3.
How does emulsification of fat change the surface area of the oil?
How does it speed up digestion?
