www.robo.my HOW IT ALL STARTED Founding members notice that there is a massive gap in the technology industries locally in terms of the mindset, technology readiness and solutions that involves Artificial Intelligence (AI). With this in mind, the team started doing proper research and integrated AI into the solutions that we provided to our clients. We pitch this to Adipven (M) Sdn. Bhd. and Wafina Sdn. Bhd. about what we see in the market and how we can bridge the gap and both companies realise that there is a synergy that they can come up with something useful for all. Adipven (M) Sdn. Bhd. is one of Asia’s most established and leading Intelectual Property (IP) consultancy and commercialization firm and Wafina Sdn. Bhd. is a Cloud TV, Radio, LMS and Mobile App Platform as a Service (PAAS) provider. Adipven and Wafina invested because the two companies believe what the founding members can bring to the people at large that is Affordable AI which is our tagline. Both Adipven and Wafina invested along with the creative mind and skills from Mohammed Afsal, thus Robomy was born. Robomy Sdn. Bhd. is an information and communication technology (ICT) company with special focus on product development and system integration with AI and cognitive technologies. Our capabilities include hardware and software development, radio frequency system development, custom internet of things (IoT) development and IoT integration. The core principle behind foundation of Robomy is providing affordable technology solutions to cater multiple market segments like consumer, industrial, medical, telecommunication etc. Accelerating digital transformations mainly depends on intelligent technologies, but affordability is a roadblock for small and medium companies. Robomy with indigenously developed AI components and comprehensive integration of multiple technologies, help companies especially micro and SME companies to excel in IR4.0 deployment. Robomy was founded out of passion to serve the world with affordable digital services, so our shareholders are from core technology backgrounds for over 20 years. Collaborations that churned some interesting achievements later turned into formation of Robomy Sdn. Bhd. in early 2018. Together we try to solve problems faced by the world using intelligent and cognitive digital solutions, with skills in cloud based technologies, telecommunication solutions, intellectual property protection, electronic-­‐hardware architecting and software development. Robomy was selected as one of the Top 5 Malaysian start-­‐ups to present our innovative AI-­‐powered and SDG-­‐driven solutions to a panel of judges by MDEC, United Nations(UN) and International Telecommunication Union (ITU) •
Robomy developed embedded face recognition system for face recognition access for edge deployment. •
Robomy developed face mask detection and social distance monitoring for Covid-­‐19 protocol compliance monitoring. •
Robomy developed customer analytics system for extracting valuable customer information from CCTV camera footages. ROBOMY CLIENTS Our clients come from diverse domains, including education, industry, plantation etc. Some of our key clients and achievements are mentioned here for reference. Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is one of our major clients. We help UPM productize their researches and build physical prototypes including electronic hardware and application software for mobile, desktop and servers. In September 2019, we have completed our latest keystone project with UPM, a novel Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system, a project funded by Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Berhad (MTSFB). This achievement is comparable to the early achievement of the team behind Robomy, in building a product for UPM that won Innovation Gold Medal at Brussels Innova, Belgium, in 2015. Currently we are working on a project in Electro Cardiogram (ECG) System firmware development for supporting UPM research. University Malaya (UM) regularly invites Robomy team for lecturing in industry related subjects. We are also invited by UM for judging students technical activities like academic projects. Robomy has signed Memorandum of Association (MoA) with Asia Pacific University (APU) for collaboration in technology training and Memorandum of Agreement with Taylor’s University Malaysia for collaboration in Work-­‐Based Learning Education among others. We design & develop a full functioning chatbot for St. John’s International School named LIYA for a real-­‐time precise responses in which parents, students and public can access. It improves their service functions as their existing clients and potential clients may now simply navigate their website and social media pages to gain a specific information about their school, curriculum and costs in real time 24/7/365. We also created a chatbot for Adipven (M) Sdn. Bhd., an Intellectual Property Consultancy and Commercialization firm that handles and interacts with thousands daily interactions. Robomy is in collaboration with Able Learner Center in developing and conducting a 2 year Build Your Own Self Driving Car programme, a programme with a mixture of single board computers, data science, neural network & deep learning to create a model intelligent self-­‐
driving car. We have conducted workshop with AIMST University on AI in healthcare domain and countless AI-­‐related programme with various Universities. Robomy developed Robomy Intelligent X-­‐ray Analyzer (RIXA) for Covid-­‐19 detection, presented to Ministry of Health Malaysia and currently collaborating with Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) on this to extend the functionalities to other disease detection. We are also providing healthcare training to MMA and its members. Robomy is in project development with Smart Force Security Services Sdn Bhd on providing Smart Software Suite for Security Services. Developing all in one mobile application with associated cloud applications with AI-­‐based services that allows security services companies to better manage their teams.
