Self-Assessment of English Proficiency for Advanced ESOL Students
Instructions: Please read each statement and honestly assess your level of proficiency in English by
choosing the appropriate response. Select the answer that best reflects your abilities.
1. Listening Skills:
a) I understand spoken English with ease, including complex conversations, idiomatic
expressions, and various accents. I can follow along effortlessly and understand the nuances
of the language.
b) I can follow most conversations and understand the main points, but I occasionally
struggle with understanding complex vocabulary or fast speech.
