The 'HPS' client of CPPS is only supported to run under Windows 10. Please find below the Installation
instructions.
Install CPPS 6.07x exe
To download CPPS 6.07x exe, see attachment: CPPS6.07x.exe
Read and follow the CPPS installation instructions documentation carefully (Including instruction to
work with Secure PCOMM sessions).
For windows 10: HOWTO Install Instruction for CPPS607x v1.5 WINDOWS10.docx
IMPORTANT: do not use Personal communications (PCOMM) Version 14 (64bit)
IMPORTANT: No longer use MP2ZCP5 as target CICS system. That may only used for
system/system connectivity, not for individual user access.
Note: From the application CPPS/HPS there is no reason to upgrade from PCOMM V12 to V13 or V14.
In summary:
PCCOMM V12
- Supported by CPPS/HPS
PCCOMM V13
- Supported by CPPS/HPS
PCCOMM V14 32bit - Supported by CPPS/HPS
PCCOMM V14 64bit - NOT Supported by CPPS/HPS
Known installation errors
Run-time error '75' - Path/File access error
Solution: User should have edit access to the services file, refer to Install instruction guide chapter .
"Change permission to TCPIP services file"
Run-time error '76' - Path not found
Solution: By default Windows OS should have TEMP folder in C:\ drive. If it is not available, create a
C:\TEMP folder.
Run-time error '48' - File not found : PCSHLL32.DLL
Solution: Most likely you are using a Personal Communications v14 64-bit install. These are not
supporting. Install the V14 32-bit version instead
CPPS Mac support
Due to technical restrictions both the CPPS HPS on-line application and Personal Communication
(PCOMM) application are not supported on a Mac.
We strongly advise you not to choose for the Mac as long as you are an active user of the CPPS HPS on-line
application and/or PCOMM.
