Rajesh Kumar Butta U59519426 Individual Written Response A major teamwork challenge we encountered was the lack of direction during our first few meetings. As determining the group stance was the first step in drawing up the proposal, we decided to discuss the problem and come to a common understanding of the proposal’s direction. However, maybe out of respect for others’ opinions, we were unable to come up with a solid stance. Further discussion and interactions solved the problem by allowing us to become familiar with each other’s viewpoints and to ultimately accept a common group stance. All views were handled equally during the discussion. All the planning and teamwork duties were appropriately accomplished and were handled effectively, so there were no problems requiring change. Our group, after identifying the problem we all were interested in working on, began by coming to a common position on the ethical issues. After doing so, with the common stance as the driving force, we devised a solution. After researching data and details of the solution, the group split into different members working on different parts of the section. Finally, all the members joined the final product together coherently. My view on privacy and the problem in general have not changed. Prior to the proposal, my views revolved around the stance that the individual has the final and ultimate right to his/her information. Therefore, any data pertaining to the user requires his/her permission for collection or use. Since the proposal follows the stance I had and the evidences support my stance, my view on the issue of privacy did not change.
