household survey in various villages in Nadia District. Secondary
data has been collected
The following technique have been used for this work.
Location Quotient Formula(S.Bhatia,1965)
Index for determining concentration of crop x
=[(Area of crop X in the component areal unit)/(area of all crops
in the component areal unit)]/[(Area of crop x in the entire study
area)/(Area of all crops in the entire study area)].
Problems
• Lack of sufficient number of cold storages.
• Ineffective information dissemination network for providing updated
information on challenges and opportunities of cultivation of various
flowers.
• Actual lack of affordable loan and credit facilities
• Lack of literacy influencing Lack of sense of necessity for personal basic
documentations regarding one’s property and thereby affecting the
affordability of formal agri credit facilities.

heavy thunderstorms which affect the agricultural processes at various
stages of farming, often causing economic losses.

floriculturists with government supports in case of natural calamities.
