BLOCKCERTS
It is a pleasure to inform you that the Secondary School Certificate and Profile (SSC&P) will be issued in a
digital format as well as in paper form, this means that the certificate and its records remain safe and
accessible through the use of Blockchain technology. This will be a great advantage in credential verification
by educational institutes and employers.
For a more efficient process and a broader outreach, students' personal email addresses (non-ilearn) are
required. After finishing Year 11, students will receive an invitation from their school on their personal email
address with all the details to access and create the credentials on Blockcert. For further information you

DATA PROTECTION
• This process is in line with GDPR and Chapter 586 of Maltese law on data Protection and the relevant
subsidiary legislation.
• The information requested will be used solely for the purpose of issuing Secondary School Certificate
and Profile (SSC&P) and not passed on to third parties; when the student reaches 16 years he/she can
decide whether to give or remove such consent.
• This information is accessible by the school, the College and the relevant education authorities.
• This information is not kept for a longer than necessary.
