EPISODE 8
ESTABLISHING MY OWN CLASSROOM ROUTINES AND PROCEDURES IN A FACE-TO-FACE / REMOTE LEARNING
To ensure that I can carry out/ perform my task efficiently and effectively in participating and assisting my cooperating
teacher in establishing routines and procedures, in the classroom or in remote learning, I must be guided by the following
by the following questions:
1. How will I gain student attention in the classroom/ remote learning?
2. What are the routines and procedures that I need to establish before, during and after my classes whether on a face to
face or remote learning?
3. What verbal and non-verbal communication will I use to signal that students need help/attention in the
classroom/remote learning?
4. How must students get/secure the needed work materials and books and others in the classroom/ remote learning?
5. How will students transition to group work and other cooperative activities in the classroom / remote learning?
6. What procedures must be followed by students who need to attend to personal necessities in the classroom/ online
classes?
7. What rules must be set for students who finish task early/ and for those cannot complete work on time?
8. What procedures must be observed for tardiness/ early dismissals?
9. What procedures must be done when submitting homework/ performance tasks in the classroom/ remote learning?
10. What procedures must be employed in movements into and out of the classroom/ remote learning?
Having these guide questions in mind, consult your Resource Teacher on the possible assistance or participation that you
can do to help her/ him in doing the classroom routines. Complete the matrix for the routines that you can employ before,
during and after classes in the classroom/ remote learning to ensure order and discipline in your classes. List down the
problems which you have encountered while implementing these routines.
Here are some of the problems that I have encountered while implementing these routines.
1. Some students are not taking part in class discussions, notably the recitation.
2. Some kids are struggling to understand/follow the directions.
3. Difficulty in balancing time because some pupils are struggling with the activity.
After doing your classroom routines and formulating your procedures, state what you noticed by answering the following
questions:
1. How did you feel after employing your classroom routines and establishing your procedures in the classroom/ remote
learning?
I am glad that, despite challenges and problems faced during the teaching and learning process, I am still able to present
and implement my classroom routines and procedures after implementing them in the classroom/remote learning. It
makes me happy since I've accomplished something very important for my personal development as a future teacher.
Finally, I am relieved that the lesson and procedures were accomplished in an efficient and productive manner.
2. How did your students respond to your classroom routines and procedures?
My students respond to my classroom routines and procedures by repeating what I say and focusing on the many
activities that I have planned for them. The majority of them are actively engaged in class discussions, particularly the
recitation activity, which I believe is a beneficial feature of effective classroom routines and processes. Students agree
on the value of having certain classroom routines and processes, and I can see their enthusiasm to follow and practice
them in class, even if some do not. Prior to that, however, the majority of students expressed a strong desire for a
mechanism for clarifying queries about existing routines and procedures.
3. What was the feedback of your Resource Teacher on your classroom routines and procedures?
According to my Resource Teacher, I need to do a better job of providing positive comments to students who are engaged
in class, such as applauding them and stating, "Good job, very good," to encourage and enhance their confidence. She
also noted that it is vital for the activities to be fascinating and engaging for the learners, as seen by some of my
classroom routines and processes. Finally, she noted that in order for students to comprehend and be interested in the
procedures and routines, they must be related to the subject matter that you are teaching.
4. Was there a change in the classroom environment/ teaching-learning process after you have implemented your
classroom routines and procedures?
There is a shift in the classroom, based on my observations. After I established my classroom routines and processes,
the learners are actively engaged in the class, and even students who do not normally participate are attempting to
engage and participate during the teaching and learning process. The class maintains a steady flow of conversation, and
unnecessary misbehavior has also been reduced.
1. What factors/conditions prompted you to establish those classroom routines and procedures?
The students' disobedience in class, their interest in the class discussion, and even the classroom's orderliness inspired
me to implement those classroom rules and procedures. It motivates me to maintain my classroom distraction-free so
that I can have a smooth flow of talks and the students can focus on their work.
2. Was there a marked improvement in classroom management after employing your classroom routines?
I believe there has been an improvement after introducing my classroom routines. Changes in student participation
indicate a considerable improvement in classroom management. They are now more interested, about taking part in
the oral recitation activity. I noticed a difference in students who normally behave badly in class because they are
seeking to participate in engaging and enjoyable activities.
3. Did the teaching learning process improve? Justify your answer.
According to my observations, the teaching and learning processes improve because students already know what they
will do when class begins. These routines considerably facilitated the smooth flow of conversations while also effectively
engaging students in the teaching and learning process. It directs their attention on the lecture and the performance. It
also allows the teacher to give the lesson without interruptions, and it even minimizes student misconduct, which
impedes the learning process.
What insights have you gained while doing thus learning episode?
Based on my learning experiences, I've discovered that establishing classroom routines and procedures is critical to the
teaching and learning process since it allows the teacher to create a distraction-free learning environment and ensure
that conversations run smoothly. It is critical for students to recognize their responsibilities as students and to be taught
self-discipline. As a potential teacher, I must develop and implement specific classroom procedures in order to provide
a conducive learning environment for my students. I need to keep a close eye on my students' behavior so that at the
end of the day, I may correct those who did not do it appropriately. Furthermore, when presenting these routines and
procedures to class, I must ensure that they are understood and apparent to them so that I can demonstrate how to
carry them out. Having a group conversation with my kids can help them build successful routines because they believe
their opinions matter in class.
OBSERVE
The problems/ challenges I encountered in establishing my classroom routines
1. Some students are not taking part in class discussions, notably the recitation.
2. Some kids are struggling to understand/follow the directions.
3. Difficulty in balancing time because some pupils are struggling with the activity.
REFLECT
I hope to achieve to address those problems and challenges by developing and implementing effective teaching tactics
and improving additional classroom routines. I will also involve my students in developing such routines in order to
understand their needs, consider what sorts of learning they like, and explore any interventions that will suit their
needs.
PLAN
Some strategies/ways which I can employ to improve my classroom routines are:
1. Create and implement successful classroom routines that learners can follow and are actively engaged in the class.
2. Learn more about the kids' needs and interests, which can be leveraged to create Routines in class.
3. I will also incorporate the usage of technology in classroom procedures because learners learn better when
technology is integrated.
4. Apply and provide various incentives for pupils to follow classroom routines and procedures.
5. Finally, I must set an example for them; as a teacher, I must be their role model. I must strictly enforce those
procedures in order to maintain them disciplined and responsible pupils.

CREATING MAY CLASSROOM/REMOTE LEARNING MANAGEMENT PLAN
EPISODE 10
WRITING MY LEARNING/LESSON PLANS
With all these information in mind, you are all set in writing your lesson plan. Based on the instructions given by your
Cooperating Teacher, prepare your lesson plan (s) based on the learning competencies of the lesson. Consider the age
appropriateness and level of communication of your students.
Request lesson plan exemplars / lesson plan templates from your Resource Teacher, If not available, you can make use of
the basic components of a lesson plan.
Learning Plan
1. What factors did you consider in writing your lesson plan/learning plans?
When I write my lesson/learning plans, I consider their age so that the learning activities are appropriate for them, as
well as the language that I will be using to teach them. Following that are their learning interests, the activities that I
must include, and the teaching technique that is linked to the learning objectives. I also evaluate the use of technology
in teaching, as we now live in the twenty-first century, when students like to study through television, photos, videos,
and so on.
2. What difficulties did you meet in writing your lesson/ learning plans?
The challenges I face when developing my lesson/learning plans are determining what activities to use to ensure that
my discussion is engaging for the pupils while also teaching them. I'm not sure what teaching strategy/approach I'll
utilize to meet the learning needs of my students. Furthermore, I am unsure of what motivational activities I will utilize
to pique and maintain their learning interest from the start to the completion of the conversation, as well as the learning
materials that I will employ.
3. What feedback was/were given by your Resource Teacher in your first draft / succeeding lesson/ learning plans?
It is my first time creating a lesson plan that I will deliver outside of university, and it is also my first experience teaching
real primary students in person. I'm feeling both stressed and nervous. My resource instructor commented on my
learning plan/lesson plan, saying that it was an excellent learning plan but that it needed some refinement in other
areas to guarantee that the learners could focus and learn at the end of the discussion. She suggested that I incorporate
group activities because I had assumed that we were not yet permitted to do so due to the pandemic, and she suggested
that I use motivating terms like "very good," "good job," and so on.
4. What were the best features /areas for improvement of your/lesson learning plans?
The finest part of my lesson/learning plan is the discussion section, when I am able to involve the students in the class
conversation and even have them participate. Also included are several learning exercises in which students take on
roles and contribute to their own learning. While implementing cooperative/group involvement in the
classroom/remote learning, as well as picking some of the activities, are aspects of my learning plan that still require
work.
ANALYZE
Analyze the various components of your lesson plans by answering the given matrix. Take note that you must have
provisions to do this lesson on a face-to-face, modular or through online
Question Answer
1. How did you arouse students' interest? What motivational techniques did you indicate in your plan?
For the initial half of my lecture, I employed motivation and differentiated teaching strategies. I needed to pique their
interest, so I selected images that they are familiar with as well as experiences that they are having to connect with
them.
2. How did you respond to the diverse types of earners?
2.1 gender, needs, strengths, interests and experiences
2.2 linguistic, cultural, socioeconomic and religious backgrounds
2.3 with disabilities, giftedness and talents
2.4 in difficult circumstances
2.5 from indigenous groups
I employed diversified teaching strategies to meet their various needs. In choosing their activities, I also considered their
beliefs, gender, and abilities.
3. What instructional strategies will you employ in face-to-face or in a remote learning delivery for this lesson? Explain.
The instructional strategies that I will employ in face-to-face or in a remote learning delivery for this lesson are the
following:
PowerPoint Presentations: Because we live in the twenty-first century, it is now possible to present lessons using this.
Video presentations - because they help students learn all subjects, particularly those that are complex and/or highly
visual, such as stepby-step procedures, problemsolving, and arithmetic formulas.
Group activities - because they may be a powerful tool for motivating students, fostering active learning, and improving
critical-thinking, communication, and decisionmaking skills.
4. Was the language used appropriate to the level of the students? Explain your answer briefly.
Yes, it is necessary for them to comprehend what I am teaching. I make certain that the language I use is basic and easy
for them to understand.
5. What types and levels of questions did you formulate? Are they of the higher order thinking skills (HOTS)? Write two (2)
examples.
The two questions that I did formulate are as follows:
1.
2.
3.
6. What instructional resources will you use? Why? Cite the possible online resources that you can utilize whether done in
the classroom or in remote learning?
The educational materials that I will be using are ones that include technology: some of the resources are as follows:
1. YouTube
2. PowerPoint Presentations
3. Kahoot- if it is on Computer Laboratory
7.Are your modes of assessment aligned with your learning outcomes and activities? Cite a specific example.
Yes, because the majority of the tasks are centered on the discussion, the forms of evaluation are connected with the
learning aims and activities. Just like in the application section, where learners are given a scenario of what they will do
if someone in their family becomes ill, it is aligned with the learning objectives of adopting personal and environmental
strategies to prevent and control common communicable diseases.
8. Will your performance tasks ensure the mastery of the learning competencies? Explain briefly
Yes, I believe that my performance tasks provide evidence that I have mastered the learning competencies. I made
assured that my performance task would allow students to solve problems by creating and using a Venn diagram.
9. In a scale of 1-10, how will you rate your learning plan(s)? Justify your answer.
I suppose it is 8. I believe that my learning plan still needs to be improved, and that I have a lot to learn, especially about
how I present my lessons and build activities that suit to the learners' different learning needs.
10. If this lesson is not implemented face-to-face, how are you going to do it remotely?
To make this lesson more effective, I will discuss it online and make the best use of various web resources. I plan to use
technology to give the lesson, and I want the students to have fun as they learn.
Why is lesson planning an integral part of the instructional cycle?
Lesson planning is an integral part of the instructional cycle because it allows teachers to plan ahead of time what they
want their students to learn, what teaching and learning activities they will employ, and how they will test
understanding. It will guide teachers and made them ready. It also enables teachers to concentrate on what they require
for their lesson, what they wish to teach, and it creates a time range for what must be achieved.

Reflection
Lesson planning are an essential component of a teacher's life. Every teacher uses lesson plans because planning lessons
ahead of time allows teachers to enter the classroom fully prepared to teach new topics and conduct meaningful
conversations rather than puzzling things out as they go. Without a lesson plan, children can easily lose focus, and
teachers may find themselves grasping for ideas on what to do next.
Using lesson plans, I can confidently deliver each lesson because I know I am prepared and know what to do because I
have planned for it. I also learned that lesson preparation strategies, methods, and approaches must support engaging
student-centered activities in order to enhance higher learning processes and ensure that students retain the teachings
successfully. I also learnt that developing a lesson plan is critical since it serves as a road map for achieving your goals.
It acts as a guide to completing the instructional goals. Furthermore, the fact that lesson planning requires arranging
your lecture ahead of time provides me confidence to address the issue. I am certain that in order to ensure ongoing
learning, I must be completely prepared before I teach.
EPISODE 11
DELIVERING MY LESSONS
Using Robert Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction, what did you notice in the following segments of learning
1. How did the students react to the activities/ various elements to arouse their interest?
The students responded to the activities/various parts designed to pique their interest by actively participating in the
activity as well as the conversation. They were engaged in the class, and I can see that everyone is attempting to
participate through oral assessment by raising their hands and recalling previous lessons in order to get points. They
appear to be eager to learn because they are asking questions and seeking clarification on the issue under discussion.
2. Were the students focused when you were stating the learning objectives at the beginning of the lesson?
When I stated the learning objectives at the beginning of the lesson, the pupils appeared to be focused because I let
them read the learning objectives and then explained it to them.
3. How did the new learning's relate with what they really know?
They can relate to the new understanding about disease agents based on their previous experiences. They already knew
the different types of diseases from their prior session, but the additional information will help students understand
where those diseases come from and what they should do to avoid such disease agents.
4. Did you notice some students who needed assistance? What did you do?
As I went through the assessment task, I observed certain pupils who required help. I approach them and ask what they
are suffering with, because some of them are having problems understanding what to do and where to go. Also, I
assisted one pupil with poor eyesight. I helped her to know what my instruction in the tarpapel is. I assist them by
explaining what to do and providing one-on-one assistance so that they can complete their activity on time.
5. Did the students find difficulty in applying the theories/ concepts learned to real life?
I believe the pupils found it easy to relate the theories/concepts studied to real life since I presented applicable examples
and experiences that they are already familiar with. During the application tasks, the students demonstrate that they
understood the course effectively since they know what factors to consider when avoiding disease agents and what to
do if someone becomes ill.
6. How did your students react to your feedback?
The pupils were really happy with my feedback because they were actively listening and contributing during the
conversation. I used some motivational feedback, and as a result, they are eager to listen and learn. It is critical to keep
offering and receiving feedback to students in order to keep their attention and motivation from beginning to end of
the course.
7. What pieces of evidence can prove that the students had retention of learning?
The students' retention of learning was demonstrated on their evaluation/assessment task, where the majority of them
received the highest score, and even on their oral evaluation, where the majority of them are answering and can give
their own example of the concepts being discussed.
Having implemented several lessons in your Cooperating School under the supervision of your Cooperating Teacher, in
what areas of the lesson do you need to improve?
Based on my cooperating teacher's various suggestions, I need to improve on student engagement interaction because
it will help me have a better relationship with them. I must continue to praise or provide positive feedback to students
who are actively participating in the discussion, such as "very good," "magaling," "mahusay," and the like. I need to
improve more of my learning materials, such as using more readable visual aids, using a larger font for my powerpoint
presentation, and even incorporating cooperative/group learning in the classroom.
