The organization was founded in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1919 as the National Association of Cost

In 1957, name was changed to the National Association of Accountants (NAA), beginning an

Its duties include recording and crunching numbers, helping to choose and manage company
investments, risk management, budgeting, planning, strategizing, and decision making. It contains

IMA offers membership to full-time faculty members for $135 per year. To qualify, you must
be a full-time faculty member. You will have access to teaching resources such as the IMA
Educational Case Journal with supplemental teaching notes, Statements on Management
Accounting, and much more. For a student membership, it spend less than faculty member, $45 for
one year, $90 for two-year.
