Cautions
•
•
•
•
•
•
Read the operators manual completely before installing or using the walkthrough detector.
Using the detector in a manner for which it has not been specified may result in damage to
property, injury to persons, or the passing of metal targets that should be detected.
Walkthrough metal detectors should only be used as part of an overall security scheme.
The cause of any alarm should be identified before a person is allowed to pass. The detector
should be used in conjuction with HHMD .
The detector should always be supervised to prevent bypassing or tampering.
It is the responsibility of the end user to ensure safe and effective operation.
Repairs
•
•
•
DANGER ! ‐ This metal detector contains voltages that are potentially lethal.
Only suitably qualified and authorized personnel should attempt repairs or service.
Always remove the power and disconnect the battery (if fitted), prior to working on the PCB
assemblies or disassembling the detector.
Location
•
•
•
•
Movement of the detector can cause false alarms.
The detector should be sheltered from wind and protected from accidental bumping.
The detector will not tolerate exposure to the condensation of water such as fog or mist.
Exposure to rain or corrosive vapours should be avoided.
Cleaning
•
•
•
The detectors surfaces may be cleaned periodically with extremely mild cleaning agents.
Aggressive cleaning agents, chemical solvents and harsh scrubbing should be avoided.
Mains power should be disconnected before washing down with large amounts of water.
Ensure that no water / solvent / solution should enter IR sensors / connectors .
Storage
•
•
•
•
If the detector is to be stored for an extended period, the battery should be disconnected.
Detector should be stored indoors in a dry area
Keys to the control box should be kept in a secure location.
Charge battery every 15 days .
