“I will only marry the man who can defeat me. My husband must be braver, stronger, and wiser than
myself.”
She wields her daggers while dressed in a sleeve top.
She is a strong leader, and an inspiration to women throughout the world.
Princess Urduja of Kaylukari in the realm of Tawalisi. A legendary warrior princess and the only daughter
of Rajah Talawisi. After my brother's demise, I was granted much of the kingdom. I became the only
hope of our tribe to shed light on my fellow people with my tremendous capability to rise above my
circumstances and my courageous determination to embrace the position of the new ruler of my own
dominion. I grew up being taught to be a warrior, with the strength and courage to protect my people
against our rival tribe. I have been introduced to the art of battle, and I honed my skills through practice
with various weapons, including swords, spears, and daggers. I led my empire to several triumphs
throughout my reign against other kingdoms, pirates, and foreigners who opposed and threatened our
territory. I'm more than just a wise and independent woman; but I'm also a living embodiment of
compassion and righteousness.
I defy stereotypes of women in our society , particularly notable at a time when gender inequality and
prejudices are still prominent in our country. When a Filipina are stereotyped as submissive and shy, I
encouraged them to break free from that mold, providing much-needed optimism and self-worth to
women of the Philippines. In these challenging times, when every day is a war for life and integrity,
Filipinos need something to empower them both as individuals and as a country, especially young
women, to acquire "confidence." Along with my story, it was fixated on people’s minds that men should
always be in power through any means such as leadership. But we, women will always be strong and
confident, that they would never back down until they get the equality and justice we stand for. It is an
eye-opener for the readers about gender equality there are still things that women can accomplish
those men assume only males can do , and our future will always be in our hands and actions. When
faced with life's challenges, I've learned that choosing the values of duty, honesty, and family comes
above gender roles. During difficult times like the current moment, my resiliency and capacity to retain
the same level of calm and goodwill regardless of how unpredictable the future holds is an amazing way
to inspire and empower Filipinos.
