QUESTIONS FOR LEVEL 3: 1. Is technology hurting our communication skills? Answer: Technology profoundly changed the way we communicate. Today, talking to someone, regardless of location, is just a click away. Technology has some damaging effects on communication skills and unfortunately lasting damaging effects when technology is used in excess or obsessively. One, it affects the ways individuals react to emotions, social cues, or nonverbal cues, as it erases this important aspect of the basis of communication. It strips away the inflection of our voice, our body language, our facial expressions, and our ability to assess and respond in real-time because of these challenging interactions. 2. Is social media bringing people together or causing separation? Answer: For me, social media brings people together as it helps people stay in touch regardless of distance or busy schedules. Social media provides a platform for old friends or family to connect. People with family across the world or friends who they have not seen in a long time can see what they are up to on social media. This aids people in staying up to date on each other’s lives and maintaining communication between each other. 3. Tell us about your biggest weakness. Answer: My greatest weakness is that sometimes I don’t focus on something I want to achieve. I’ve been striving to improve in this area by knowing my priorities and time management. 4. What is one thing that we would not know about you just by looking at you? 5. What makes you stand out from the other girls/boys competing in this pageant? Answer: I believe that all the girls whom I’m competing against today/tonight are confident, beautiful and hardworking but what really sets me apart from them and the reason why I should win is that I recognize the title of Ms. Immaculatinian as a responsibility to become a role model to promote the core values of this institution. 6. Where do you see areas of improvement in our country as a whole? Answer: Developing a country's sustainability is a hard thing to do. I can say that our country needs reform in all aspects, especially in education. To be globally competent, we should focus on a quality education that every Filipino deserves. 7. If you win this pageant how will you use your title to benefit others? Answer: If I win this pageant, I would use my title to inspire my fellow Immaculatinians out there if I can do it then they can too and to also be a role model to the younger generation and to use that platform to start up an initiative for what I am passionate about and that is to increase awareness of volunteering to help those less fortunate than us, the homeless and the poor. NOTE: Pwede mo din sigurong sabihin dito na makikipagcollaborate ka sa SSG and other school’s club and support their plans for the goodness of school. 8. What message would you give to our Immaculatinian community about beauty pageants and the girls/boys who compete in them? Answer: To those aspiring beauty queens and kings, I can say that just be yourself because beauty and self-confidence comes from within, ask God for your guidance and most especially, enjoy the rest of the event. 9. How do you handle peer pressure? Answer: I always pay attention to what I feel and think about how I will respond in different situations. If I feel like something is not right about a situation, it probably isn’t. I believe that it is okay for me to say no to the things I am not comfortable with. 10. Describe to us your dream vacation.
